7 Superior drive. The 2015 SLK comes by its aggressive exterior honestly. It is the descendant of the 190 SL roadster, and has power worthy of the name. Within the SLK 250, a 1.8L direct injection turbocharged engine develops 201 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. And under the hood of the SLK 350, you ll find a 3.5L direct injection V6 engine with 302 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The Dynamic Handling Package 1 gives drivers the ability to shift between sport and touring driving styles with the push of a button. The electronically controlled dampers adjust themselves instantly to maintain a smooth feel. Torque vectoring brakes make ease of spirited driving, as does the 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission by increasing the number of gears, thereby lowering the increments between them. DISTRONIC PLUS 2 : helps to alleviate stop-and-go traffi c frustration by assisting you with maintaining optimum distance between cars. ADAPTIVE BRAKE: improves ride comfort and safety with features that increase the responsiveness and effectiveness of the brakes. And the supporting HOLD function prevents the vehicle from rolling unintentionally while stopped. PRE-SAFE Brake 2 : if a potential collision hazard is identifi ed, visual and audible signals warn the driver. If the driver does not respond, independent partial braking can be activated before the impact. In the event of a highly critical situation, the independent full brake application activates. ATTENTION ASSIST: is particularly helpful on long journeys or night driving. 10 AMG upshifted. The 2015 SLK 55 AMG combines style with performance, and accelerates them. And with AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC, you can accelerate them quickly: in 4.6 seconds, to be exact. A handcrafted 5.5L AMG V8 engine with 415 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque gives you power when you want it, and AMG Cylinder Management saves you fuel. The available AMG Performance Package exceeds profi ciency with AMG Performance suspension, AMG carbon fi bre trim and AMG Performance steering wheel with DINAMICA inserts. Because style always complements performance, especially at top speed.
