1 THE RECTOR CONSIDERING Decree of the Ministry of Education on rules governing University and Research October 22, 2004 no. 270 on "Amendments to the regulations concerning the teaching autonomy of universities and approved by the Minister for Universities and Scientific and Technological Research 3 November 1999, n. 509 "; CONSIDERING the Statutes of the University of Milano-Bicocca, issued by Rectoral Decree no of 3 March 2015; CONSIDERING CONSIDERING the University of Milano-Bicocca Academic Regulation, issued by Rectoral Decree no of September 17, 2013; the Regulation for the activation of master degrees, advanced training courses, supplemental educational services, issued by Rectoral Decree no of January 13, 2010 and any subsequent modifications; CONSIDERING the department of Sociology & Social Research Board s resolution taken on 20 January 2016; CONSIDERING the Academic Senate s decision taken on 22 February 2016; CONSIDERING the Administrative Advisory Committee decision taken on 23 February 2016 DECREE Art. 1 Activation of the Master Program The University of Milano-Bicocca hereby announces the activation of the Master Program of 1 st Level in International Business Development (MAIB), for the Academic Year 2016/2017, within the Cooperation Agreement with the following partner institutions: Alliance University (Bangalore, India) Centennial College (Toronto, Canada) The International Master Program is co-financed by Fondazione Cariplo within the 2011 call Promoting Excellence in Human Capital Education The Master Program offers the following choices a) MAIB + IBM 14 months Two simultaneous degrees: First Level Master Degree from University of Milano-Bicocca - MAIB; Ontario College Graduate Certificate from Centennial College, Toronto - IBM Achieved with a total of 90 credits (based on University Credit System) Program includes 3 months internship anywhere, except in Canada (see point b). 2 b) MAIB + IBM + Internship period at Centennial College (in order to explore opportunity to work in Canada) Those students interested in exploring the option of working in Canada will have to enroll at Centennial College for the Internship period in order to match Master Program requirements (3 months internship) together with Canadian Visa norms. This would allow students to obtain 8-12 months long work Visa for Canada. Our partner Centennial College will provide all information to students interested in living and working in Canada. 3 Alliance University, Bangalore, India 2 nd period (January April 2017) Centennial College, Toronto, Canada 3 rd period (May August 2017) Internship 4 th Period, based on choice (from September 2017) Art. 4 Available seats In order to maintain a high quality education program, we have restricted the number of enrolments to a maximum of 35 participants and a minimum of 12. The admission is subjected to the number of seats available. In case of non-commencement of the Master Program for any inevitable reason, the enrolment fee already paid by the participants shall be reimbursed with the exception of bank transfer expenses, in accordance with the administrative rules of the University of Milano-Bicocca. Art. 5 Admission Requirements The Master Course is open to candidates with 3 years bachelor degree across any discipline or its equivalent, having obtained the degree from an accredited college or university in Italy or in any other country. Final year students studying in Italy can apply provided that they are going to graduate within the first graduate session after the commencement of the MAIB Master teaching activities and at the time of the selection process they only miss the activities related to the final test. If selected, these students will be enrolled conditionally according to the specified deadlines, promising to promptly notify the completion of graduate degree through self-declaration (affidavit) to ufficio.master@unimib.it at the University of Milano-Bicocca. In case of failing to acquire the required degree mandatory for admission to the Master Course within the specified period of deadline, they will lose their seat and therefore will not be allowed to attend the course or get any certification. In this case, the enrolment fee shall not be refunded. The enrolment to the Master Course forbids simultaneous enrolment to any other courses offered by Milano-Bicocca or any other university. The same holds valid for research grant holders conferred by University of Milano-Bicocca. Art. 6 Tuition Fee and Scholarships 1 Tuition for the various academic options of the Master Program are: a) MAIB + IBM Tuition Fee: 15, The payment needs to be made as below: at the time of submission of the application (to the University of Milano-Bicocca); 7, at the time of enrollment (to the University of Milano-Bicocca); 3, in favor of Alliance University-Bangalore no later than December 15, 2016; 4, in favor of Centennial College-Toronto no later than April 15, Phrases mentioned in Red of the present document have been modified ex D.R /16 of A1_SOFF_FC_BandoMaster01_Rev.21_

4 b) MAIB + IBM + Internship Period in Canada (in order to explore opportunity to work in Canada) Additional cost for the internship period in Canada: 3, (to be paid directly to Centennial College at the time of enrollment for internship on the basis of the information provided by Centennial College) c) MAIB + IBM + MBA Additional study period at Alliance University, Bangalore India Additional cost for MBA period at Alliance University: 4, (to be paid directly to Alliance University at the time of enrollment for the MBA course). *********** The above contributions are inclusive of the issue of original MAIB Master Degree and cover the costs towards stamp duties and insurance coverage. In case of withdrawal by a selected candidate before completing 25% of the teaching program, the candidate ranking next in the enrolment list will be admitted. In this case, no refund of fees shall be provided. SCHOLARSHIPS In order to assist students with the cost of the program, there are partial exemptions from paying the enrollment fee of 7, based on the scholarships provided by the Cariplo Foundation: 5 scholarships of 7, each, to be assigned on the basis of merit from first to fifth place in the admission ranking (and therefore will be exempted from paying 7,600 at the time of enrollment); 5 scholarships of 5, each, to be assigned on the basis of merit from the sixth to tenth place in the admission ranking (and therefore will be required to pay only the remaining amount of 2, at the time of enrollment) In case of funds received from external bodies (currently in process), scholarships will be granted according to the procedures and the criteria set by the Coordination Committee of the Master Program. The recipients of these grants will be excluded from the scholarships offered by the Cariplo Foundation. The undergraduates (studying in Italy and yet to achieve the qualification required for access) admitted conditionally to the MAIB Master will not be allowed to compete for the scholarships provided by Cariplo Foundation. In case of funds received from external bodies, they will be allowed to compete for future scholarships. The same shall be reimbursed only after you have obtained your degree title and the proof of the same has been sent to ufficio.master@unimib.it, as indicated in article 5. We would like to inform that our Partner Centennial College (under their sole responsibility) is extending a scholarship of 2, CAD $ to all Centennial students who wish to enroll for the Master Program. In order to avail this scholarship, the students would need to directly contact Yana Avdyeyeva yavdyeyeva@centennialcollege.ca. Art. 7 Admission application for Italian and foreign candidates holding Italian degrees and qualifications The application must be submitted from the day following the date of this Decree and strictly within the closing date of July 15, The terms were extended ex D.R /16 of A1_SOFF_FC_BandoMaster01_Rev.21_

5 The Italian and foreign candidates with a degree obtained in Italy must apply on-line on the website: accessing the section "Segreterie Online" and selecting "admission." Candidates not yet registered in the system will have to first register entering their personal details and then login to the system with their personal credentials. Candidates who have been registered users will get direct access to the system (log in) using their existing personal credentials. Applicants must fill out the electronic application entering the data required by the system. Please Note: The candidates are strictly required to attach a copy of the ID document and a passport size photo in a digital format bitmap or jpeg format with a resolution of at least 300x400 pixels. The photo should only portray the face and must behind a light background and / or uniform, the face should be in a front view and not covered by hair or clothing such as sunglasses or scarves; we don t accept panoramic pictures taken from a distance, or group shots or where other people are present, clippings, drawings, caricatures or ID photos that are too dark. To complete the process, candidates need to upload their Curriculum Vitae electronically signed, a copy of the English language certification, a letter of motivation, not exceeding 1000 words, any other relevant qualifications or certifications and/or recommendations (from academic institutions and former employers). At the end of the procedure, candidates must print out their application form which is valid as a receipt and therefore it must be kept safely by the candidate, together with the receipt of the MAV form of to be paid within the deadline indicated on the form at any bank branch; non-payment would result in exclusion from the selection process. The MAV fee is nominal; in case of a third party other than the application holder (e.g. company, organization, etc.) wanting to carry out the payment on his/her behalf, the same must be made by bank transfer. In case needed, it is possible to print again the electronic MAV by connecting to the Segreterie online. Payment receipt must be kept carefully by the candidate. The University Administration reserves the right to ask for written proof of payment. In case of exclusion, or failure to complete in the admission process, the application fee paid shall not be refunded. For the candidates selected to the Master Program, the 100 application fee paid will be considered as part of the first installment (requiring the candidate to pay 1 st installment minus 100). In case of exclusion (non-admission), or failure to complete the enrollment, the fee paid will not be refunded Art. 8 Candidates with Disability or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) Candidates with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD) are eligible to access special support available for giving the selection tests, if any, as defined under the applicable laws. For this purpose, in the admission procedure for the selection test, the interested parties are required to fill in a questionnaire and attach the documentation certifying the disability or the specific learning disorder in order to allow the University an evaluation of the request and the appropriate organization of the service. 6 issued by the competent public health authority in the territory, according to the Italian law no. 104/92 and subsequent amendments. The diagnosis of SLD must: meet the criteria of the Consensus Conference (2011); report the ICD diagnosis code, the formal statement of the SLD, including the information necessary for the understanding of the individual characteristics with indications of strong and weak areas; have been issued by the NHS structures or by institutions or professionals accredited by the regions and not more than 3 years ago if issued before the age of the candidate (art. 3 of Law no. 170/2010 and subsequent State- Regions Agreement of 24/07/2012). The diagnosis of SLD must: meet the criteria of the Consensus Conference (2011); report the ICD diagnosis codes, the formal statement of the SLD in question, and include the information necessary to the understanding of the individual characteristics with indications of strong and weak areas; have been issued by the NHS structures or by institutions or professionals accredited by the regions not more than 3 years ago, in case issued before the candidate having completed 18 years of age (art. 3 of Italian Law no. 170/2010 and subsequent State-Regions Agreement of 24/07/2012). The failure to upload online the said documentation within the admission deadline set out in this Call will not entitle the candidate to the support requested. Within the day before the date of the test, candidate will receive an from the office of Service for Students with Disabilities of the University to the address provided during the registration. The will provide the confirmation of the activated service and all the logistical and organizational information. In case the candidate needs to be accompanied and/or supported by a qualified personnel, the details of the same will also be part of the communication sent out. In case of a possible cancellation of the accompanying and/or support service, the candidates are required to communicate the same by sending an to: servizi.disabili.dsa@unimib.it. If admitted to the course, in order to benefit from the services provided according to the specific University regulations, you must (during the enrolling process) make an appointment with the office of Service for Students with Disabilities in order to evaluate the possible special arrangements needed, based on the logistics available and time (the service is active from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 19.00). Art. 9 Admission application for foreign citizens and/or Italian citizens graduated abroad A1_SOFF_FC_BandoMaster01_Rev.21_

7 The foreign and Italian applicants holding academic qualifications from abroad must apply for admission by filling out the online application form at the following link: within the period of deadline of July 15, , by attaching the following documents: Official and legalized translation in Italian of the degree certificate 3. If the legalized translation is not available as yet, a non-official translation in Italian or English can be temporary accepted under the selfcertification of the student indicating the country where the degree was issued and that it allows access to the next level of education. any other documents in the possession of the candidate deemed useful for assessing the eligibility to the chosen course (eg. 8 Motivation letter (maximum 1,000 words); Curriculum vitae signed; Other relevant qualifications or certifications and/or recommendations (from academic institutions and former employers) Art. 10 Selection Procedure The selection for admission to the Master will be based on the educational credentials, evaluation of the curriculum, English certification score (TOEFL, IELTS, CPT) and motivation letter. Final selection to the Master Course will be complete by July 27, at University of Milano-Bicocca. Art. 11 Admission list Candidates will be admitted to the Master Course according to the order of ranking published on August 2, , and will be limited to the number of seats available. Admission list will be published on the University of Milano-Bicocca website at the following link Art. 12 Enrolment Procedure & payment of Tuition fee All candidates are required to complete the enrolment procedure from the day after the announcement of the final selection list and no later than September 9, 2016 as specified below. 1. In case of any candidate does not having the same, then they must submit a document which verifies that the request for the Value Declaration or diploma Supplement is under process with the competent authorities and shall be submitted at a later date. 10 Incomplete enrollment forms will not be considered. ART 13 Special Students Category Uditori (those who wish to only sit for the courses as listeners without giving exams and getting any certification) There is no provision of enrolment under this category. ART 14 Special Students (who wish to attend Individual Courses) Students can apply for individual courses provided by the University Milano-Bicocca as part of Master MAIB, for a maximum of 20 credits in total Number of seats available: maximum up to 7 Selection procedure: Admission to individual courses is done without a selection procedure, except for the verification of the minimum eligibility requirement (the same as for the Master Program). Tuition fee: per CFU (University Academic Credit) based on courses to which you want to register Application form can be downloaded from the website The complete application form should be sent by to ufficio.master@unimib. Enrollment is legally valid only after the payment to the course has been made (using MAV) and the receipt confirming the payment ed as scanned copy to ufficio.master@unimib.it. The payment must be made before the Master Program starts. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The attendance to the MAIB Master Course is mandatory. Art. 15 Mandatory attendance and attainment of the final degree A1_SOFF_FC_BandoMaster01_Rev.21_

11 It is mandatory to have an attendance equal to or greater than 75% of the hours of teaching activity and to having passed all the exams in order to get the MAIB Master Degree. MAIB Master Program grants a total of 90 (CFU) University Credits on completion of the course, corresponding to 2250 hours of study (academic activities provided for in the curriculum, integrated with the commitment reserved for self-study and personal preparation) and will award 1 st Level University Master Degree. Art. 16 University , Student Multi-service card (badge) & customer satisfaction After the completion of the enrolment procedure, each student will be assigned a student enrolment number, a university account - username@campus.unimib.it which is accessed with the same username and password used to access the Segreterie Online. The University's account is the official communication tool between students and the university. The students will receive an on their university webmail account from Banca Popolare di Sondrio sharing instructions for collecting the Student Multiservice Card (badge). This badge is required to access all University services. Students already in possession of the Multiservice Card will not be receiving an concerning this. The University provides students access to some IT services (e.g. WiFi network, elearning platforms, Segreterie Online, etc.), the details for the same can be found at the link As part of the evaluation process, at the end of the course, the students will be sent on their address (as was mentioned on their application form) a request for completing the customer satisfaction questionnaire. In case the student has not given any address, the questionnaire will be sent to the address assigned by the University Art. 17 Withdrawal of benefits and reasons for exclusion Pursuant to art. 75 of Presidential Decree 445/2000, if the Administration finds, on the basis of appropriate checks, the false statements/declaration made by any candidate, the candidate shall be withdrawn from any benefits received because of false declarations. The university administration has no responsibility in the event of loss of postal communication, due to wrong residence address of the candidate, failure or delay in notification of change of address, or for any postal or telegraphic disservice. Art. 18 Treatment of personal data As per the provisions of the Legislative Decree no. 196, June 30, 2003, the University undertakes to respect the confidential nature of the information provided by the applicants: personal data will be processed and treated exclusively for the execution of the procedures related to the current Master Program and within the University services, in conformity with the regulations in force.
