Effective immediately, this warrants a more strict abidance by the Ashland invoicing rules from your side to ensure invoice acceptance to facilitate a smooth invoice processing and payment. In addition, Ashland is currently reviewing its legal entity structure, which will lead to consolidations. In case you are identified as supplier impacted by one or multiple consolidation, you will receive further information in a separate communication. What you need to know Invoice address For most EMEA countries, the legal requirements are that the following addresses are to be quoted on the invoices: 1) The legal name and address of where the Ashland entity is established. 2) The ship-to location, in case this is a different address than the legal address. 3) The invoice-to address, which is the address of where the EMEA Accounts Payable Shared Service Center is located: Categories If you want to send the invoice by normal mail : [Legal entity name] ESBS / Acc Payable PO Box AP Rotterdam The Netherlands If you would like to send the invoices by courier, it needs to go to the address where the office is located : [Legal entity name] ESBS / Acc Payable The Netherlands Ashland globally indentified several categories for which no Purchase Order or shipment number is required. For these, we kindly request you to refer to the Ashland person / account who requested your service. An overview of the applicable categories can be found in Appendix 2. Additional requirements applicable for each invoice to ensure timely processing and payment by Ashland 1. Three options to invoice Ashland a. 10-digit Ashland purchase order number (starting with 45) or b. address of your Ashland contact person (ending see Appendix 2 for the qualified non PO categories or c. Delivery note-number (in case of Sales Freight related activity starting with 8); 2. Invoice number, use non-repetitive, unique numbers

2 3. Invoice date must be reflective of the date of shipment or provision of service. No future-dated invoices will be accepted. 4. Ship-to & Ship-from locations 5. Payment terms set forth within an agreement, contract, statement of work or purchase order. Payment will not be made for: service charges, handling charges, finance/late charges or restocking fees unless specifically addressed in the contract 6. Currency of the invoice 7. Banking information, including your IBAN and BIC codes (where applicable) 8. Appropriate VAT amount according to the regulations 9. Purchase order line number (if a purchase order is included) *) 10. Item detail as per purchase order 11. Description of goods or services 12. Commodity code (if applicable) 13. Ashland material number (if applicable) 14. Quantity 15. Unit of measure listed on the purchase order (if applicable) 16. Unit/extended/total cost 17. Only one original, no copies of invoices to be attached * In case you receive a new purchase order valid for a year, please update your invoice layout to record this new Purchase Order number. What additional service can you expect from Ashland? Ashland has a vendor inquiry website, where you can check the status of your invoice. You can get access to this website ( by registering yourselves, or get assistance from Ashland ([email protected]) to get registered. To register, the following information is required: - Your Supplier vendor number at Ashland, this info is quoted on our PO s; - A paid invoice no older than 60 days ago - The invoice reference - The invoice amount What is not changing? Your relationship with Ashland is otherwise unchanged. The delivery addresses for the goods or services you provide stay the same. P.S. We urge you to contact your contact person at Ashland if you: 1) do not receive the correct legal entity name to invoice according to Appendix 1 2) do not receive the information as listed under additional requirements number 1 3) do not receive a Purchase Order number in case you are delivering goods or service not listed as one of the authorized exception categories as identified in Appendix 2. Non-compliance to the above invoicing instructions may result in a delay of invoice processing and payment.
