8 SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGNS ARE BASED ON THREE ELEMENTS Here are the three elements to achieve successful campaigns: Target group Timing Structure If you do not have the right target group, we maintain that your campaign is wasted. Here at Bisnode, we can help you to find your target group the people you want as customers. Target group selection THINGS TO BEAR IN MIND There are lots of things to think of when you re about to make your choice. So here are a few handy tips for you. Start off by defining your target group and looking at how large it is so that you can work out how your budget will be affected and adapt what you want to tell them. WHICH CUSTOMERS DO YOU WANT TO REACH? Define for yourself who you want to reach what decision-makers at companies, and in what industry. Our target group specialists are ready to help you just give us a call. WHAT INDUSTRY? This guide shows you which industries are available to choose from. See page 12. WHAT COMPANY SIZE? Do you want to reach companies both large and small? You can choose by turnover or number of employees, or other criteria to determine size. CHOOSE POSITIONS Focus on one or more decision-makers; make your choice from the list on page 10. Now you have the opportunity to really focus and adapt what you have to say. WHERE ARE THE COMPANIES FOUND? Look at where they are, and compare their locations with your wish list. Then extend or reduce your range, if you like. You have the option of focusing on the country as a whole, or just on a region. WHAT IS YOUR TARGET GROUP LIKE NOW? How did your selection turn out? We can help you to refine your selection as required. If you want to apply different messages to different people, you can create several target groups. PRECISE NUMBER AND COSTS? Send us a list of all the things you are looking for, then we will get straight back to you with the precise number and the costs for your selection. PLACE YOUR ORDER Now you have made your choice and can formulate your plan, activity or message to suit your selected target group exactly. TO SUMMARISE We are always on hand to help you. On the telephone, in person, on the web. All to give you the best possible start with your search for the right target group and help you to operate as accurately as possible. 8

9 YOUR OPPORTUNITIES WITH NACE TO FIND CUSTOMERS ACROSS EUROPE The European industrial activity classification NACE Rev.2 is implemented in the EuroContactPool database. NACE CONSISTS OF A HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURE IN FOUR LEVELS First level consists of headings identified by an alphabetic code (not used in the EuroContact- Pool database) Second level consists of headings identified by a twodigit numerical code e.g. 02 Forestry and Logging. Third level consists of headings identified by a threedigit numerical code e.g. 022 Logging (page 14). TOP-DOWN PRINCIPLE NACE follows a top-down principle where a unit at the lowest level of the classification must be consistent with the unit at the higher levels of the structure. A selection on a second level code includes classes from all levels that start with the same two digits. A selection on a third level code includes classes from all levels that start with the same three digits. Fourth level consists of headings identified by a fourdigit numerical code e.g Logging (page 14). A further breakdown is provided for certain classes on a national basis by added additional digits/levels to the NACE Rev.2structure. These classes follow the same principles as the NACE structure but are unique for each country. 9
