2 The Loft is a Blank Canvas Modern loft design expresses as much imagination as the creative urban dwellers that have driven the movement since its beginning in the early 1960s. The concept is that each gutted open floor in a building can be built out with virtually unlimited possibilities. Just as the space can be molded into anything, the color schemes should be equally limitless.
