1 AIR FRANCE IN CAMBODIA 3 new weekly flights between Paris and Cambodia Starting on 28 March 2011, Air France will once again operate 3 weekly flights (round-trip) between Paris and Cambodia. On 18 August 1947, Air France inaugurated the first Paris - Saigon - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap service, with three flights operated every two weeks and suspended in On the strength of Cambodia s tourism attraction in France and its economic dynamism and close cultural links with France, Air France is reopening the Paris-Phnom Penh route after 37 years absence. These flights will be operated by Airbus A (275 seats including 30 in Business, 21 in Premium Voyageur and 224 in Voyageur/economy class), and subsequently as from 9 May 2011 by Boeing (309 seats including 35 in Business, 24 in Premium Voyageur and 250 in Voyageur/economy class). This new route should make it possible to increase opportunities to transport goods (fresh products, textiles, etc.) between France and Cambodia. Air France will offer a weekly cargo hold capacity of up to 40 tonnes. To mark the reopening of this route, Air France will offer its new Business and Premium Voyageur cabins on flights to Phnom Penh. Angkor Air France Press Office March

2 The new Business service available on Boeing s serving Phnom Penh (starting on 9 May 2011) In addition to all the ground facilities, customers will discover Air France s new Business seat launched in December. With a fixed shell seat guaranteeing the passenger s privacy, the seat structure and environment have been redesigned to offer: o A seat bed whose dimensions make it one of the most spacious and most comfortable beds on the market (2-metres long 61cm wide); o Multiple positions with the new relaxation position, with legs extended on the new fixed footrest including during the take-off and landing phases, among the most highly appreciated; o Simpler and more practical controls; o And new, more spacious storage areas. 3 Premium Voyageur, available on flights from Paris to Phnom Penh upon the launch of the route offers: o A private cabin offering 40% additional space compared with Voyageur (economy) ; o A preserved personal space with a wide fixed-shell seat (48cm) reclining to 123 (in this intermediate cabin range, Air France is the first European airline to offer fixedshell seats, and the world s first airline to free up as much leg space); Flight times between Paris and Phnom Penh Paris-Charles de Gaulle / Phnom Penh AF 274, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays leaves at 7:30pm, arrives in Bangkok at 11:50am the following day, leaves the same day for Phnom Penh at 1:15pm, arrives at 2:30pm Phnom Penh / Paris-Charles de Gaulle AF 273, on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays leaves at 8:05pm, arrives in Bangkok at 9:20pm, leaves the same day for Paris at 10 :55pm, arrives at 6:05am the following day. 4 The Air France Foundation in Cambodia: children s welfare at the heart of our strategy Since it was set up in 1992, the Air France Foundation s mission has been to support projects which benefit children and young people who are ill, disabled or in great distress, in France and other parts of the world. The Foundation sponsors projects presented by associations or NGOs, provides the financial backing, based on the Foundation team s resources and expertise. Air France Press Office March

5 The Air France Foundation has been present in Cambodia since 2003, and supports 16 projects, for example: Enfants et Développpement Association for the promotion of pre-schooling in rural communities. The Air France Foundation provided the financial backing for this project in The project aims to accompany the development and empowerment of 15 community nursery schools. It proposes early learning activities and education for 450 children aged between 3 and 5 originating from underprivileged rural areas and facilitates their integration into primary school. Monireth association for help with education, schooling, learning and training in children and teenagers in the Cambodian town of Banteay Meanchay and particularly those of the village of Kla Kon Thmei. In , the Air France Foundation contributed to the construction and installation of a library (books and media, internet access, photocopying facility, training software, teaching documentation, language laboratory, etc.). Toutes à l école association, a schooling programme for young girls, through the setting up of schools and teaching programmes. In , the Air France Foundation provided the financial support to build the Happy chandara school. This school gives young girls who risk being exposed to prostitution or forced labour an opportunity of social rehabilitation, offering them bilingual training on 3 levels (primary school, 2 nd & 3rd year of primary school) and new prospects for the future. Osmose association focuses its work on the Tonle Sap Great Lake and particularly in Prek Toal north-west of the Great Lake, a flooded forest area providing an exceptional site for wildlife and flora. The association proposes an education programme concerning close to 1,000 children aged 5 to 14. In , the Foundation financially contributed to the educational programme and to teacher training. 6 AIR FRANCE AND KLM EXPANDING IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION (April- October 2011) 271 weekly long-haul flights each way between Paris, Amsterdam and Asia with 23 destinations served in Asia, including 208 flights operated by Air France and KLM and 63 code-share flights operated by Asian partner airlines. In Asia, a 10.1% increase in capacity for Air France and KLM in 2011: In addition to non-stop services to Vietnam and an additional weekly frequency to Bangalore since last winter, since 28 March the group has been operating 3 weekly non-stop services to Xiamen (seventh destination served by the group in China). Air France is launching services to Phnom Penh via Bangkok with 3 weekly frequencies.
