4 Bophelo Benefit Services (Pty) Ltd (BBS) is a Financial Services Company offering a range of services in employee benefits as outlined below BBS is a licensed 13B Administrator. BBS is a proudly South African, 100% Black-owned and managed company with 90% of our staff coming from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. The Company Head Office is located in Rosebank, Johannesburg, with regional and front offices in Durban, Rustenburg, Swaziland and Namibia. 5 Beneficiary Fund Administration BBS has been successfully servicing our guardians and beneficiaries since We provide an end-to-end service to our beneficiaries and guardians ensuring that when trustees place death benefits with BBS they have the peace of mind that all eventualities will be taken care off. Our years of dedicated service have paid off with BBS winning the prestigious 2013 POA Imbasa Yegolide Award for the best Trust and Beneficiary Fund Administrator of the year for Key characteristics of our service offering include a multilingual call centre (speaking 9 of the 11 official languages in South Africa), a strong communication strategy, highly competitive fees, a highly experienced service team that understands the needs of our guardians and beneficiaries and world class systems and processes. We have walk in centres in Johannesburg, Durban and Rustenburg. Employee Benefits Administration Bophelo Benefit Services (BBS) specializes in employee benefits for the blue collar market, where funds tend to be large especially in terms of membership size. BBS possesses years of experience in the blue collar funds industry, with BBS core focus being to provide services and solutions to this market. Our employee benefits solutions are tailor-made and we do not have a one-size-fits-all approach. The complexities of industry funds (particularly within Bargaining Councils) are a unique challenge which BBS strives to resolve. BBS understands that members peace of mind is as important as that of the fund. We cater for both standalone funds and umbrella funds (in the form of our Nzalo Umbrella Pension and Provident Funds). A number of characteristics make us a favourable choice; this includes: World class processes with highly experienced staff having years of experience administering retirement funds State-of-the-art systems (we use the MIP administration system which is a locally designed administration platform used by other major administrators) Multi-lingual call centre and strong communication strategy with customisable member communication. Web access for employers and members Support for investment choice, home loans, various insurance types, customisable reporting, web access and the ability to send out smses to members. 6 Employee Benefits Consulting Bophelo Benefit Consulting provides consulting services which include but not limited to: Liaison with all stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the fund Keeping the Trustees abreast of changes in legislation by the relevant regulatory bodies Trustee training to equip them with the necessary skills to fulfill their fiduciary duties Performing Fund Secretarial Duties Member Workshops to educate and update the members on their benefits and the activities on the Fund We have experienced employee benefits consultants recruited from the industry who can provide specific consulting to funds. We have a legal department We have both an internal and external Compliance Officers Group Life Schemes Bophelo Life Insurance Administrators (BLIA) is a sister company to Bophelo Benefit Services. It provides life insurance underwriting and administration with solutions targeted at both the group and individual market. Our solutions are specifically tailored to suit the needs of each individual client. The company is managed by a strong group of highly trained and experienced individuals with years of experience in the industry. We offer Group Life Assurance, Group Disability Assurance, Permanent and Total Disability (PTD), Temporary and Total Benefit (TTD), Permanent Health Insurance (PHI), Credit Life Cover and Funeral Benefit Cover. As part of our service offering we do a completed analysis of member data. This gives a fund the assurance that they understand exactly what they are paying for.

7 Tracing Services Bophelo Tracing Services (BTS) has breathed new life into the Tracing industry by bringing in a better and a more direct approach to tracing beneficiaries. While most Tracing companies prefer making telephone calls to trace beneficiaries as well as putting adverts in the press, Bophelo Tracing Services also uses Foot Soldiers with the appropriate vehicles who directly track, find and interview the members/beneficiaries. By so doing, there is a very slim chance of bringing fraudulent members/beneficiaries to the fund. The company makes use of staff and contractors who are very familiar with the areas they are assigned to trace; usually locals to the area. Furthermore, Bophelo Tracing Services has a large network that includes local authorities and tribe chiefs that it draws on to assist in tracing people throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries. We use state of the art technology and our processes have been tried and tested over a number of years (since 2006). We have developed extensive databases and, together with access to third party databases, we are able to data match, validate and trace individuals. Unclaimed Benefits Fund In line with our tracing services, Bophelo Benefit Services (BBS) offers the end-to-end administration of Unclaimed Benefits Funds. The company has registered two umbrella unclaimed benefits funds (for Pension and Provident Funds) and also has the ability to run standalone unclaimed benefits funds. BBS is particularly aware of the issues surrounding unclaimed benefits (given our years of experience in the blue collar segment of the market) and have thus designed policies and processes to facilitate the strategy and implementation around an Unclaimed Benefits Fund. The service can be used in conjunction with our own tracing company or with a client s own service.
