1 Page 1 of 5 How to Integrate a Flir Temperature Sensor with PanelView Plus 6 & PanelView Plus 7 Terminals Date Created: 04/18/2016 Last Updated: 04/22/2016 Access Level: Everyone this page Question Can Flir Temperature Sensor data be accessed by PanelView Plus 6 & PanelView Plus 7 Terminals? Answer The Flir Temperature Sensor can be used to view real time thermal data or to capture thermal images. Flir Temperature Sensor data can be accessed by PanelView Plus or PanelView Plu Performance terminals using two options. One option is to connect to the temperature sensor's web page and view a live video stream. A second option is to have the temperature sensor send an imag PanelView Plus terminal using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Web Page Access The AX8 Flir Temperature Sensor's web page uses HTML 5 content. There is an HTML 5 web browser available for Windows CE 6.0 from Zetakey - Zetakey Download Page ( Download the Windows CE 6.0 x86 version. This version can be used on PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus 7 Performance terminals. an ARM version, however it is not supported on PanelView Plus or PanelView Plus 7 Standard. Launch the Zetakey web browser and enter the IP Address of the Flir Temperature Sensor. The ME Program Launcher ActiveX control can be used to launch the Zetakey web browser. Then sensor using the appropriate user name and password assigned to the sensor. An Admin account can be assigned that allows full configuration of the sensor. Use the format user:password@ip address of the PanelView Plus terminal (dude:pass@ ). It is recommended to store the image to an external SD card because of the limited internal storage on the PanelView Plus terminal. The name of the SD card storage location is Storage Card2. You could also create a sub-folder beneath Storage Card2 for every sensor the PanelView terminal is accessing to organize the images. The captured images have a unique identifier - date and time stamp from the sensor. The Web Browser ActiveX control can be used to view the captured image files within the FactoryTalk View Machine Edition runtime application. Also, the ME Program Launcher ActiveX control can be launch the Image Viewer to view the captured images outside of the FactoryTalk View Machine Edition runtime application. Note: these two viewing options are only supported on PanelView Plus 6 Ex Feature and PanelView Plus 7 Performance terminals.
