17 SLIDING SASH PRODUCTS When double glazed sealed units are fitted into sliding sash windows the timber left on which to fit the keeper can be very narrow. Frank Allart have redesigned two traditional fasteners with this in mind. Product code Claw Type Sash Fastener A size - Keeper only 9.5mm wide. B size - Keeper only 12.5mm wide. Product code Fitch Pattern Sash Fastener Keeper only 12.5mm wide. TRADITIONAL SIDE/TOP HUNG CASEMENT WINDOWS Nowadays these windows are normally fitted with weather seals as standard. It is important that the fasteners are designed to accommodate these seals otherwise the mortice/wedge plate fixing screws can foul the weather seal channel and effect performance. Frank Allart have designed two new casement fasteners with this in mind.
