1 Guide to the registration process for the creation of an Aircraft Operator account in the Union Registry In order to create an account in the Union Registry, each authorized representative of that account should first be identified by the application. The identification is made through a registration procedure in 3 steps: 1. Create an ECAS login 2. Add a mobile number to ECAS 3. Fill in personal details for identification Once the 3 steps are completed, the application generates an identifier for the user, which is needed by the aircraft operator to open the account. ATTENTION: to allow for the account opening, ALL authorized representatives (at least two ARs and as many AARs as you wish) are required to complete the 3 steps of the registration procedure. Please, carefully follow the instructions for the 3 STEPS reported in this document 1

2 STEP 1 = Creation of an ECAS login (if you already have an ECAS login, please proceed to STEP 2) Open the Registry website, in the Italian domain, through the link Click First time user on the left side of the page click Create an ECAS login fill in the mandatory fields of the form identified by a red star (we advised you to enter also a username, though optional) check the box to confirm that you read and understood the privacy statement click Sign up 2

3 You will receive an indicating your username and providing you a link to create your password. The can take up to 10 minutes to be delivered. Attention! You have 90 minutes to create your password and the might appear in the junk folder of your box, therefore check also such folder. Click on the words this link in the Through the link in the you are directed to the ECAS website: create your password there (please take note of the password requirements displayed down on the page) The system confirms the password creation 3

4 STEP 2 = Add a mobile number to ECAS (if you already have an ECAS login with a mobile number added, please proceed to STEP 3) Open the ECAS website through the link In case a screen like this is displayed Check the box Neither an institution nor a European body Check Remember my choice Click Select in the blue field under the word Login, check that the selected domain is External (otherwise click Change it and follow the indications above) fill in your user name (or address) and the password you created click su Login! After login click Account information on the top right hand side of the screen 4

5 click Manage my mobile phone numbers click Add a mobile phone number enter your mobile phone number (please make sure you enter also the international code, e.g. +39xxxxxxxx) then click Add enter the challenge code you receive via SMS on your mobile using the dedicated fields click Add 5

6 The system confirms the registration of the mobile number (please note that you may add more than one mobile number in the Registry: we advice you to specify multiple mobile numbers in case you get any trouble with the first one) exit by clicking Logout in the top left hand part of the screen 6

7 STEP 3 = Fill in personal details for identification After creating your ECAS login, you should log into the Registry where you will enter your personal details Open the Registry website, in the Italian domain, through the link click Login on the left hand side of the screen fill in your user name (or address) the password and (one of) the mobile phone number(s) you provided before at STEP 2 click Login! enter the code you receive via SMS on your mobile phone click Login! 7

8 click Fill in your personal details on the left hand side of the screen fill in the fields (mandatory fields are marked by a green star) by entering the SAME INFORMATION you specified in the documentation sent for the account opening request. DISCREPANCIES IN THE DATA WILL BLOCK THE PROCEDURE OF ACCOUNT OPENING AT A LATER STAGE click Next check the personal details you have entered then click Submit Now the registration process is completed and the system gives you your identification number in the format ITxxxxxxxxxxxx Take note of your Unique Registry Identifier (URID) 8

9 ATTENTION! If you want to proceed with adding another user into the registry after these steps, it is important that the previous user is logged out of the registry and logged out of ECAS To log out of the Registry, click Logout in the right top side of the screen To log out of ECAS, go to the ECAS website ( and click Logout Once the all account representatives have completed the pre-registration process, you may proceed with the account opening request following the instructions in Procedure 8. During this process, you ll be requested to enter the representatives identifiers (URID = unique Registry Identifier) created by the system. 9
