No.AV.22024/ 5/2002-FID Dated: 12 th June, OPERATIONS CIRCULAR NO. 1 OF 2002 Subject:- Operations Circular Approval of Examiners on one time basis for the purpose of imparting Instructional Training for type endorsement, Skill Test, Proficiency Checks, IR Checks etc. Regular Examiners for General Aviation and other operations with Fixed wing aircraft below 5700 kgs and Helicopter operations are approved in accordance with the Civil Aviation Requirements (CARs) for the purpose of carrying out Instructional Training for type endorsement, Skill Test, Proficiency Checks, IR Checks etc. under the provisions of Rule 41-A of the Aircraft Rules List of DGCA approved Examiners on various types of Aircraft and Helicopters is at Appendix A for information of the operators. 2. On account of different types of aircraft/helicopters and their variants or for other operational exigencies, at times DGCA approved Examiners on specific aircraft/helicopter may not be available. In such cases, Examiners are approved on one time basis by DGCA based on their qualification and flying experience. The operators are required to submit their request for approval of Examiner on one time basis to DGCA (Kind Attn: Chief Flight Operations Inspector, Flight Inspection Directorate) giving details as per the proforma given at Appendix B. 3. It is further brought to the notice of all operators that the validity of approval of Examiners, approved by this office under AIC 02/1991 dated prior to issuance of existing CARs on Approval of Examiners for General Aviation and Other Operations with Fixed Wing Aircraft below 5700 kgs and 1

2 Approval of Examiners for Helicopter Operations dated and respectively, shall be restricted to 5 (five) years from the date of issue of these CARs i.e. upto for both General Aviation and Helicopter Operations. After , Operators are advised to renew the approval of their Examiner in General Aviation & Helicopter Operations as per the existing CARs on the subject. Sd/- (Capt. 4 APPENDIX - B PROFORMA-FID-1 FLIGHT INSPECTION DIRECTORATE Proforma for One-time Approval of Examiners for Issue/ Renewal/Extension of Aircraft Ratings. 1. Request for one time approval : (a) Imparting instructional training for of Examiner/Instructor for aircraft rating/extension of aircraft type rating; (b) Skill Test for aircraft type rating; (c) Instrument Rating Check, Initial/Renewal (d) LR/Route Check; (e) Familiarization Training (f) Aircraft Training and Flying Test for approval as Regular Examiner.
