2 AAT Information The following pages detail the courses that our Glasgow centre is offering for the AAT qualifications in There are also details of alternative courses offered by our Live Online (virtual classroom) centre. AAT Qualifications and Levels AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting The aim of this qualification is to introduce you to basic accounting and finance skills. You ll develop your skills in finance administration: doubleentry bookkeeping, basic costing principles and purchase, sales and general ledgers. The aim of this qualification is to enhance the skills developed in at Level 2. You ll master more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics. The aim of this qualification is to enhance the skills developed at Level 2 and Level 3. You ll look at financial team leader skills, including financial statements for limited companies, complex management skills and specialist learning areas. As a standalone qualification, or as a first step towards Level 2 and progression on the Level 3 and 4, it will allow you to move up to further study in accountancy and finance. Please note: Spreadsheet Software (SDST) involves pre course work on MyKaplan to be started 6 weeks before the first study date. Upon completion, you will automatically become an AAT affiliate member and, with relevant work experience, can apply for AAT full membership. Please note: The Internal Controls and Accounting Systems (ISYS) unit is delivered online and starts on the 15th day of the month that you select. You should ideally select to study this in a month when you are not attending other AAT courses.
