4 1. Applications The GMST software is for companies that perform electrical tests. It is the ideal solution for large industrial companies, hospitals, rental and service of electrical and medical equipment, etc. Main features: Tree structure, nesting possibility and easy situation preview, Multiple database engines (external and local), possibility to import data from local to external database (work offline), notifications, Communication with multiple testers, Simplified navigation, tree object -> tests table, multiple test types depends on users needs, Reports and stickers (labels). Help functions: Search engine for tree objects and tests, Administration tools with user activity log, Database backup, Import from ETC and PAT Manager. GMST communication with the following series/families: SECULIFE (DF,PS 300, ESxtra, is constantly expanding), SECUTEST and PROFITEST GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 4

System Requirements for GMST Operating system / Software: Microsoft Windows XP (service pack 2), or later Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 8.1).net Framework Version 2.0, (later version should include 2.0) Hardware PC: The minimum amount of ram, allowing for smooth operation of the operating system Minimum resolution 1024 x MB of free disc space + space for each customer database ( depends on user needs) Mouse / Keyboard For communication with tester : Free usb port For installation and registration of GMST, the user should have administrator rights. Note! If user wants to use auto-mailing notifications/external database, PC should have also internet connection. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 5

6 3. Installation To install the program, start the installation from the CD or download the program from: First, select the installation language and press Ok The Welcome window appears. To continue, press Next GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 6

7 Now license window will appear. Please read license terms. You have to agree to those terms to continue. In the next window you can select the component to install. Important! If in selection group appear Framework 2.0, than install it. It is also important that MS-Windows components communicate with the testers. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 7

8 Now you have to decide if you want shortcut on desktop. Next choose destination folder for GMST. Click Install, to start installation. Installer will close when installation is complete. You can start program right after installation. Computer restart is not needed. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 8

9 4. First start At first start configuration window will appear. First choose language and click Next. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 9

10 At next step choose location for local software setting. We recommend using default location. Using folders protected by MS Windows (e.g. C:\Program Files\) may cause some problems. Click Finish configuration, to start using GMST. 5. Software registration After installation program MEST is in demo mode. To use all function you have to register. 11 If you are using operating system with advanced administration (MS Windows: Vista, 7, 8), you have to run program as administrator or error will appear First registration First read license. 12 With every bought copy of program, you will get Installation Card with unique 32 digits product key. Enter that in next window. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 12

13 If product key is correct, Next button will activate. Press it to continue. Enter company details in next window. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 13

14 Important! The data you enter will be printed out on final reports. Please fill this form carefully. Click Next, to continue. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 14

16 By Internet program connects with our server, register user and activate program. It only works if it your first activation with this registration key. Save registration data in file on desktop program will create text file with all registration data on desktop. Sent this file to us via . Do not send registration. I have activation code already. If you already registered the software. If registration was carried out by internet and everything is correct, program will activate by itself. If for some reason activation will be accepted but not completed correct statement will appear and within 2 workdays you will receive activation key or error details via . 17 When you get activation key, open MENU click Registration and choose Step 2 Activation. If for some reason Step 2 Activation is not active choose Registration, go through all steps to method selection window and select Do not send registration. 18 After entering correct Activation key next to it green will appear. If red X appeared, than check Activation key. Check every digit carefully or go through registration process. Click Next, to continue. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 18

20 5.2 Renew Software activation Caution! Program license is one workstation only. To work on more workstations you have to buy moveable license. To use program on another workstation you have to unregister or uninstall program from previous workstation and send statement to us ) you cannot register and activate program on another workstation within 6 months. If you want to activate software again on one workstation you can use the same data you get at first activation. Just remember that name have to be identical (every char counts) so we recommend copy/paste method. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 20

21 6. Add new Customer In order to add new customer click in main menu on the Icon New. A new window Add customer will appear. Here, you enter the customer data. In contact person click on the button Assign person. Here you select the contact person, by selection or you can add a new person and then in order to confirm click on Confirm selection. After entering customer data and selecting contact person click on Confirm GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 21

22 7. Change customer In the Main menu select the icon Change. The window Change customer will appear. Here you can find your customers by searching or scrolling. After the selection, click on Confirm button to make the change. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 22

23 8. Read measurements from the tester After you select the menu Tester click on the icon Download. It will open a new window called Import. Click Search to find the connected tester. Then select the desired tester by clicking on it and click Download data. The Import wizard window opens. Insert here, by clicking the Import Options and finally click the Import icon. The Select customer option opens a new window Change customer, there you can select the appropriate customer from the customer-list. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 23

24 9. Change object details Choose in the Main menu under Customer the device ID: Then click on Details. Here you can, for example, enter or change for the device/device under test: the name, year of construction, the main line etc.. To apply the changes, click icon or click the X icon to refuse the entries. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 24

25 10. Add images to the objects Choose from the customer ID first the desired device. Then go to the Gallery tab. Click here the green + button. A Search window will open. Then select the image of the device and click Open. Your image has been added to the object. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 25

26 11. Add document to object First, select under Customer the desired device. Then go to the tab Documents. Here you click on the button Add file. The Open window appear, where you can select your documents and add with open button to the object. The document is displayed after loading the program. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 26

27 12. Add attachment to test First, click in the Main menu on the Attachment tab: Then click on the icon Add attachment. A new window will open. There you select the document that you want to attach and then click on open button. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 27

28 In the attachments a new document appears. Click the Right Mouse Button on the document and then on Edit with the left mouse button. A new window will appear. There you can select:-open file with another software -Date and name of the input file You can use the previous settings take over by Save or reject them by Cancel. 29 13. Adding own tests After selecting a template, click on the button Add other test. The tab Other tests is active. Here you enter your data in the table of values and put a check in the table cell Evaluation. Finally, click on Save. Your own test appears in the tab Other tests. 30 14. Creating templates First, select the desired device ID, then activate the tab Other tests. Then click on the icon Templates. The Data base of other tests window opens. In order to add new template click on + enter the name of a new procedure and afterwards add test below. Enter the name of each test and then in the table, the corresponding Limit (double-click). To finish, save the settings by selecting the icon Select as template. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 30

31 15. Print graphics First select the customer, then the desired device. In the Electrical test select the type of examination, and then on the tab Graph. In the tab Graph go to Graph type, drop-down-menu and then select your desired unit for display. After the selection, it is represented in the graph. Click to print on the button Print graph. The artwork will be displayed. Click on the icon Print to start printing. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 31

32 16. Communication with Seculife series In the menu Tester click on icon Download. The Import window opens. Click Search to search for the connected tester. After loading the connected devices are displayed. Here you can choose your target device by clicking on it. A new window will open: here you go, e.g. Autotest and set in there your parameters. Then click on Start test. Steps: 1) Select test procedure 2) Configure Parameters 3) Test results can be transferred to the software by clicking on Current result 4) Start test GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 32

33 After a few seconds you ll get the results displayed. In order to implement this, click with the right mouse button on the device name, then with the left mouse button on Change evaluation and to Positive. The data is transferred to the card Medical tests accepted and displayed there. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 33

34 17. Printing Reports First select your device check under the tab Tests. Then click on the tab Report and go in drop down menu on Report. After a few seconds Report window will appear. You can make your selections and start a preview before printing. To print, simply click on the button Print. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 34

35 18. Print Labels In the Main menu, click on the icon Brother labels. The Print options window appears -> here you can choose the type of output QR code and barcode and then click Print Preview by opening Print labels. Click on the Printer icon to start printing. 36 19. Move data between customers Click in the Main menu on the icon Move data, an Import window will appear. In the left column you can select the Source data and then the Destination data in the right column and select customers for the exchange of data. The transfer is done with Drag & Drop. With Close button the transfer is confirmed, with Rollback undone. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 36

37 20. Load structures in the tester Im the Tester menu, click on the icon Download. The Import window opens. Here click on Search, it searches fort he connected tester. After the connected tester has been found (green bar), click on the button Upload data. A Change customer window will appear. Here you choose the customer and click on Confirm. After the loading bar has signaled the full transfer, you can click Close button to exit. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 37

38 21. Notifications address Click Menu on the command bar, then in the drop-down-menu click on Options. The Options window opens and there you click on the button Notifications. Here you can make your settings and then click on the button Test connection. You well receive a Success window, press OK. Then click on the button Confirm to apply the settings. 39 22. Back-up copy First, click on the Administration menu: There you select Back-up copy. After clicking on it a new window will open. Here enter a name for the Back-up data and then click on Save. The data can be backed-up both on the PC and on the USB stick. In a few seconds the Message appears that the back-up process is complete. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 39

40 23. Restore Back-up Click in the Administration menu on Restore. A new window will open. There, you go to your back-up file and then click on Open. The data can be accessed from both the PC and from the USB stick. A confirmation message is displayed, that the back-up was successful. GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH GMST Page 40
