11 Company Profile History Metrix Instrument Co. was founded in 1965 in Houston, Texas. We were the first company in the market to manufacture 4-20 ma vibration transmitters, which greatly simplified vibration monitoring and reduced its cost. In 1992, we received our ISO 9001 quality systems certifications. Roper Industries (NYSE=ROP) acquired Metrix in 1995, and we began to expand our global presence.
