To ensure both high reliability and next-generation capabilities, the Rockwell Collins Digital Avionics Management System features four highly reliable, 6-by-8-inch active matrix liquid crystal displays. In addition, the multifunction displays feature embedded processing and graphics generation capabilities, which minimize the overall installed equipment complement while providing greater system availability through redundant flight and mission critical processing resources. To ease maintainability, the multifunction display units are fully interchangeable. The MFD-268C4A is also sunlight readable and compliant with MIL-STD-85762A for use with current-generation night vision imaging system (NVIS) goggles. CDU-7000 control display unit. Ease of system operation is provided through the control display unit, which allows management and control of the system s radio, navigation and flight plan information. System programming is accomplished through use of dedicated fixed function keys, and a full alphanumeric keyboard. Talon RT-8200 Programmable Digital Communication System. Already proven in hundreds of installations, the multiband, multimode Talon combines outstanding performance with exceptional capability and flexibility in a small package. Fully compliant with all current allied and coalition V/UHF radio specifications, Talon provides voice and data communications for increased interoperability, flexibility and combat effectiveness. DTU-7100 data transfer unit. This intelligent microprocessor-based unit permits access to aeronautical worldwide databases as well as missionspecific data. With the capability to access and transfer map data files in real time from industry standard compact flash cards, the DTU-7100 also serves as the mass memory storage for applications such as Digital Map.
