2 CENTRAL COUNTY REGIONAL OCCUPATIONAL PROGRAM COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to gain entry-level employment at a cable studio, video production company or to begin working independently as a self-employed videographer. The course will also provide the student with the foundation skills needed to enroll in further Television/Video Production classes. Essential employability skills include personal, interpersonal and communication skills, plus career development and employment literacy. Content area skills include video production theory and operation of equipment. Instruction focuses on hands-on skill development. Internship experience is optional, available to interested students with time availability. 2 2 I. ORIENTATION A. Observe CCROP and OUSD rules, regulations and policies. B. Explain class requirements and student expectations. C. Demonstrate emergency preparedness. II. ESSENTIAL EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS 3 3 A. Personal 1.
