2 Eployent st A new collaborative approach to industry-specific pre-eployent training Hospitality, leisure, travel and touris is a fast growing sector that will need to recruit an additional 06,300 workers across the UK every year until 207. To fill this gap, the sector will need to find fresh talent with the right attitude, skills and qualifications to eet the needs of eployers in these industries. What is Eployent st Eployent st was developed by People st and with full backing and input fro eployers, to eet the sector s request for a consistent standard of preeployent training across the UK. The prograe consists of 60 hours of introductory training to and touris, which can be delivered over two weeks full-tie or four weeks at 5 hours per week. It covers 3 job roles: Bar staff Barista Catering supervisor Chef Conference/exhibition anager Crew eber toer service staff reception Hotel porter Housekeeper Kitchen porter Leisure and thee park attendant Travel agent Waiter/waitress An additional 60 hours of training prograe for candidates that require support before starting Eployent st is also available. Eployent st can lead to nationally-recognised qualifications that are accredited on the Qualification and Credit Fraework (QCF).
