4 Education & Tra Education & Training Preparing youth for employment and citizenship MTC has provided education and training to hundreds of thousands of young people preparing them to find quality jobs and become contributing members of their communities for more than 35 years. This training is provided through the U.S. Department of Labor s Job Corps program. In 2015, MTC trained nearly 8,000 students daily and more than 13,000 annually at 24 Job Corps centers making it the largest operator of the Job Corps program. MTC Job Corps centers provide young people with an opportunity to earn their high school diploma, if needed, and begin a new career in a number of technical disciplines including healthcare, construction, computers, automotive, and business. Graduates earn industry-recognized certifications that lead to high paying, quality jobs. Job Corps Social Impact Results 12,700 students earned their high school diploma/equivalency or completed a technical training program in a high-growth industry 76,900 service hours spent helping improve local communities by MTC Job Corps staff and students 7,600 students placed in quality jobs, higher education, or the military 6,900 certifications earned by students at MTC Job Corps centers MTC Social Impact Report

6 Corrections Corrections Preparing offenders to successfully transition into communities Since 1987, MTC has made a social impact by giving hundreds of thousands of offenders an opportunity to change their lives. MTC s philosophy in corrections is rehabilitation through education. Offenders and detainees are provided with numerous opportunities to take GED, adult basic education, vocational, substance abuse, cognitive, behavioral, faith-based, and life-skills classes. Research has shown that offenders who participate in proven programming and engagement activities are less likely to re-offend after they re released. MTC operates correctional facilities in partnership with state and federal governments including the Bureau of Prisons, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Marshals Service. MTC safely secured and provided programming to more than 26,000 offenders and detainees daily and nearly 78,000 annually in 2015 at 26 correctional facilities across the United States. Corrections Social Impact Results 22,800,000 hours of effective programming and structured activities conducted 567,100 service hours spent helping improve local communities $155,100 donated to charitable and service organizations 32,400 certificates earned by offenders at MTC facilities MTC Social Impact Report

8 MTC Medic MTC Medical Providing quality healthcare and promoting healthy lifestyles Since 2005, MTC Medical has made a social impact by improving the healthcare offenders receive. In 2015, MTC Medical provided quality medical, dental, and mental healthcare to more than 14,000 offenders and detainees daily and over 41,000 annually at 10 facilities, while also promoting healthy lifestyles. MTC Medical staff are highly skilled professionals with significant experience in the corrections medical field. MTC Medical sites are accredited by one or more of these accrediting bodies: the American Correctional Association, The Joint Commission, or the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. MTC Medical offers a unique blend of clinical and security expertise, ensuring timely delivery of safe, appropriate, and documented healthcare. Healthcare solutions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each offender or detainee, as well as meet and exceed accreditation and regulatory compliance. 10 Economic & Soci Economic & Social Development Providing workforce training worldwide Since 2004, MTC s Economic & Social Development division has helped people worldwide develop the skills needed to build better lives for themselves and their families. MTC s Economic & Social Development staff collaborate with governments across the globe conducting workforce needs assessments and training. In 2015, MTC was awarded a contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development in Egypt to provide young people with job training that will prepare them for the workforce. The project, called Workforce Improvement and Skill Enhancement (WISE), will be carried out in partnership with Egypt s Ministry of Education and Technical Education. WISE Project Goals Egypt Cairo WISE Office Provide 4,000 Egyptian citizens with technical and soft skills training to prepare them to be successful in the workforce Ensure more than 10,000 Egyptian citizens find gainful employment Collaborate with 75 educational institutions to prepare Egyptian citizens for the workforce MTC Social Impact Report
11 al MTCnovo Reducing re-offending in the United Kingdom MTCnovo MTCnovo is a joint venture between MTC, U.K.-based Amey, and community resource partners. MTCnovo delivers rehabilitative services to offenders, probationers, and parolees in London and Thames Valley for the Ministry of Justice. MTCnovo s mission is to improve lives and make communities safer by reducing re-offending in the U.K. In 2015, MTCnovo was the largest of the 21 community rehabilitation companies across England and Wales. Treating clients as respected individuals, carefully assessing their needs, and providing them with support to become law-abiding citizens are the hallmarks of MTCnovo.
