2 Where I m from I ve worked in the Credit Card industry for over 17 years, starting in 1995 with Barclaycard as a Sales Manager, progressing through the ranks before moving to Bank of Scotland in I moved into the world of Independent Sales Organisations in 2007 and specialised in building Sales Divisions and training them to successfully cold call. This experience has given me a very rounded view of Card Processing in the UK and I have gained a deep understanding of the SME sector and what Independent businesses need from their suppliers. There is no doubt that since the recession started in 2008, the UK has become a very difficult place for businesses to survive, let alone grow. There has been a significant change in the way consumers shop with online sales and mobile sales now accounting for 15% of all retail sales. A retailer now has to be able to serve his customers whether they want to shop in the store, over the phone, via or online... in fact they can now purchase items online through their mobile phone and some even want to use their smart phone as their wallet. To survive in business, the retailer now needs to have several touch points with their customers to stay ahead of their competitors. Where do they go to get advice on all of this? 2 ANNECTO UK In summary, today s retailers have to become very technologically aware to trade with their customer base whilst providing the highest levels of service and reducing cost just to stand still. This will often require a capital investment at a time when the UK banks are making it very difficult for SME businesses to borrow money. It s fair to say that business conditions have become some of the most challenging faced in recent times. It s not all doom & gloom though. These are exciting times if you embrace the change and embrace the new technology. I am an independent businessman and I recognise the challenges we all face which is why I ve set up Annecto UK Ltd to help Independent businesses save money, provide capital to fund growth and to be there to provide expert advice. I look at this industry from the eye of the businessman which is why I ve built a company that understands their challenges, a company that will source the products that they need and provide them at a competitive price. More than that though, Annecto will ensure all the solutions are joined up and provide one point of contact for them all. 3 what we do The fundamental aim of Annecto is to connect with our customers and to be able to provide the best solutions for all their online and offline payment needs. Providing solutions that are straight forward and joined up We will help our customer s trade with consumers through all the different channels by providing solutions that are straight forward and joined up. This will range from standard solutions (which are ideal for a new business just starting up) all the way through to a fully integrated solution for a more established business. We can also finance any investment in technology by providing a short-term capital injection. Our flexibility and the unique modular design of our products means that customers can choose the modules, or products, which are right for them and can mix and match them with other products and services if they wish. The more products a customer takes then the more discounts they will receive. Whilst the actual product proposition is fantastic (and we will develop this further over time) the best thing about Annecto is our approach to our customers. We are very knowledgeable about the industry but very friendly in our approach - all we want to do is to help our customers by giving straight forward and honest advice and to be able to provide a joined up solution... something which is sadly lacking in this industry. Our customers can opt to have faster transactions through Broadband or Wi-Fi and all terminals are sent out already configured to take contactless payments. Integrated or separate PIN Pads Portable Terminals (Bluetooth / Wi-Fi) Mobile Terminals (GPRS) Mobile Phone Top Up If you already have an EPOS system then that s fine as we can work with the majority of suppliers. If you don t have an integrated EPOS system but it is of interest to you then please call us and we will talk you through the various options.
