2 The True Cost of Enterprise Mobility The need for enterprise mobile apps The need for enterprise mobility is not a new phenomenon. Since 2007, employees have been using their mobile devices to perform work tasks in a limited capacity, leading to the BYOD craze that has taken most companies by storm. Compounding the problem, the native mobile app is regularly out-of-date within months of rolling it out to employees and customers.
