8 CUSTOMER STORIES Secure Mobile Service Management App supporting 28 million passengers! Challenge Oslo Lufthavn AS (OSL), Norway s largest airport, had a challenge with manual and time-consuming handling of paper based work orders, for both internal maintenance personnel and external vendors. With little access to information, maintenance and repairs took too long, risking delays in flights. Extra high security levels made it challenging to let external personnel work efficiently. Solution OSL wanted a mobile solution for handling work and round orders for both internal and external personnel, providing fast and easy access to information and reporting on work orders. Result Addovation provided a highly secure mobile solution fully integrated with IFS Applications, automating the service management process. Using QR codes on all equipment objects, personnel can easily access information, document, repair/maintain, and report status back to process owners. External personnel use a separate secure App, accessing only secured information. Solution delivered: Addovation Mobile Service Management, Addovation Cloud Services Platforms supported: IOS, Android Increased quality and freed up 80 % time of paperwork per work order! Challenge Ravema AB, one of Sweden s leading partners for Nordic Engineering Industry, had a challenge with time-consuming paperwork processes for their service technicians, filling out work forms manually both before and after every service mission in the field. With no access to information in the field, each mission took longer, and unnecessary time was spent on travelling back to the office to report each work order. Solution Ravema AB needed an easy-to-use mobile solution for providing all necessary work order information to the service technicians, with online and offline access, in additions to check lists, and reporting work orders directly. Result Addovation provided Ravema with a Mobile App and electronic fillable PDF forms, which are generated from the work order in IFS Applications, and automatically filled with relevant data from IFS Applications. The PDF form is accessible from a TouchPad, providing all relevant work order information, check lists, and the ability to report in the work order with labour and material, and a digital signature from the customer and technician. Challenge One of the worlds largest and fastest growing Paint and Coating companies, had a challenge handling the large volume of orders from B2B customers from more than 90 countries. Different time zones, languages, occupied telephone lines, manual input and labourintensive work represented costly and time consuming handling of customer orders, making it difficult to offer good customer service and a scalable order department. IMPROVE CUSTOMER SERVICE Solution Our customer wanted an online web shop for their B2B customers in order to reduce timeconsuming manual labour to a minimum, and make it easier to order regardless of language and time zone. Result Addovation provided an online web shop fully integrated with IFS Applications, automating the ordering process, making ordering easier. The web shop is open 24/7, and handles thousands of orders per month from all parts of the world. 10 TECHNOLOGY Xamarin At Addovation, our apps share the same code across all platforms. We target ios, Android and Windows with a single, shared C# codebase. We use the same language, APIs and data structures on every platform. With Xamarin, we write our apps entirely in C#. Anything you can do in Objective-C, Swift or Java, you can do in C#. Xamarin apps are built with standard, native user interface controls. Apps do not only look the way the end user expects, they behave that way too. This cannot be achieved with other solutions. IFS Cloud The IFS Cloud offers a secure and good operating environment for connecting your mobile solutions to IFS Applications. If you have IFS Applications 7.5 or above installed, your IT department only needs to install and start the IFS Cloud Uplink, with no updates to the back-end system. apps updated; that s managed through the App Stores, simplifying and streamlining deployment through self-provisioning, saving you time and money. All communication is done via REST-based interfaces; hence it is perfect for enabling collaboration between IFS Applications and the outside world. The IFS Touch Apps for Android, ios, and Windows smartphones and tablets talk to services in the IFS Cloud, not directly to your IFS Applications installation meaning you don t need to use VPN or Citrix for a secure connection.
