5 ProWORX NxT Reduced development time and effort With the Network Editor, ProWORX NxT reduces development time by using the same commands and instructions for every controller. Simply cut, copy, and paste networks from one platform to any other! Real-time network status Find the controller you need fast and simplify network diagnostics with ProWORX NxT s powerful Network Scan feature. Network Scan searches your Modbus or Modbus Plus networks, then identifies and graphically displays each device found and shows its status. Advanced I/O management Ensure that the I/O card you are configuring in the software matches the one on your plant floor with Pro WORX NxT s graphical Traffic Cop. It displays I/O cards on your screen the same way they look in real life, eliminating all confusion. To place a card, just select it from the convenient drop down menu and then drag it into the controller slot you want. To save even more time, the Traffic Cop automatically associates the card s I/O points with with a block of free addresses in your controller. Once configured, manage your I/O with NxT s complete documentation tools, with references for each head, drop, rack, slot and address. And the Traffic Cop s graphical display shows you at a glance that your I/O is healthy. Easy Subsystem Configuration Using the new Wizards now included within Nxt, the user is stepped through complicated communications configuration with ease. The Peer Cop wizard guides the user through the method of Modbus Plus Peer Cop transaction and creates the configuration extension while doing so. The same can be said for the Ethernet I/O Scanner wizard, whereby the user enjoys the uncomplicated configuration of Ethernet communication between two PLC s in a straight forward manner. 5

I/O drawing generator Save hours of painstaking effort with ProWORX NxT s I/O Drawing Generator, which can automatically create wiring diagrams for the I/O cards defined in the Traffic Cop. Generate the drawings you need all at once or just one card at a time simply select an address the I/O card uses with the Network Editor, then click the drawing button on the Hardware-Back Referencing panel. NxT displays the diagram, and if you want, saves it as an AUTOCAD-compatible.DXF file or prints it. 7

8 ProWORX Plus ProWORX Plus ProWORX Plus includes a number of productive application tools that formed the basis of what ProWORX Nxt is today. ProWORX Plus appeals to the discerning DOS user in that it offers all of the flexibility of the Nxt product, but available under a legacy environment still widely in use throughout industry. Products As denoted in the feature summary, we offer several versions. The standard Online Offline version, Online Offline with Productivity Module, Online only and Lite. Lite offers full functionality within the standard programming environment, however the PLC support range is limited. Productivity Module The ProWORX Plus Productivity Module contains a number of features that take the DOS package over and above the standard Online Offline System Programmer package in that it offers utilities such as the Bill of Materials generator, the Offline Emulator to name just two.
