Engineering Base (Ebase) is latest generation engineering software incorporating all features of CAE software's in the Industry. The software Engineering Base which addresses the requirements of engineering software's i.e. this can be integrated with your other systems & can be customized to generate reports in Customer required format. Please find some of its features as below: The product Engineering Base (EB) is Object Oriented unlike other Computer aided Engineering tools (CAE) and offers High End Electrical, Instrumentation & Power Engineering Solutions for various Industry Fields. Some of the key features that Ebase offers are: It integrates the complete Engineering Work Flow. i.e. Customer's order, Basic Engineering, Device Specification, Device Engineering, Detailed Engineering, Circuit Diagram, other Documentation etc. It uses standard Microsoft Office Visio, which is intuitive and easy to use. The best tool available now for creation of 2D schematics. It includes complete libraries of IEC, ANSI and JIC compliant Graphical symbols. It provides direct access to Print or save as XLS directly from worksheet for some of the reports/documents. It provides flexibility of opening several work sheets at once to see different aspects which can then be switched easily from one to another. 2 Some of the key advantages of the Ebase software are: The Hardware configuration done on Ebase can be written on the Simatic manager software of Siemens DCS/PLC range directly which saves Programming time from the Software engineer The Look & feel of Windows Explorer is given to Project Explorer in Ebase so the user comfort level is achieved at first go. Ebase works Microsoft SQL Database at the back end. The Ebase project files can be stored in AutoCAD, PDF formats for exchange with other systems Some of the reports can be customized to be created automatically ON LINE in the system which has XLS worksheets & all features of Excel work in these reports. The user does not have to work on all deliverables due to the above automation in Ebase. Ebase has ON LINE editing feature, hence no post processing is required. The limits of conventional E-CAD systems lie in the dependence on graphic representation. Whenever a piece of information is available, it is put into the model via input masks, list editing or graphic representation and supplemented later on by further representations or details. In the layer located above, the application server, objects and their logical relationships are created, and in the Engineering Base Explorer they are finally offered with the familiar appearance and handling as structured tree, table or editing mask. For graphics editing Microsoft Office Visio, tried and tested millions of times, is employed. VBA, another well-known Office product, is the programming language for customer-specific solutions. Data Model The entire data model including all of the rules is stored in the database and controls the behavior of Engineering Base. Customer- or branch-specific attributes can be supplemented anytime and e.g. linked to certain device types. Any number of graphic representations can be defined for each object, either for different documents or different standards. This openness means a long life time independent of the technical development in the customer segments. Automatic Processes Even automatic processes dealing with wiring, device designations or signal names are not part of the kernel system but are realized as event-driven server add-ins. Thus they can be expanded, renewed or supplemented anytime independent of the main versions. With the aid of Visual Basic for Applications, wizards are created on the client's side that ease the user's life by carrying out complex tasks. Because in Engineering Base VBA already brings along the integrated development environment, such solutions can also come from third-party suppliers or can be created or modified by the customer himself.
