2 Who is Blue Care Blue Care is Australia's largest not for profit provider of community health and residential aged care. > 10,000 staff Currently 1500 vehicles on the road Over 4000 drivers 32 Million Kilometres per year Over 10,000 client visits per week

High crash rates History of vehicle crashes High incidence of reversing and third party crashes Increased infringements with increases in mobile speed cameras Cars returned for sale in poor condition Emergence of duty of care responsibility Desire to ensure our people are safe on the road

14 The Future Blue Care continues to review and improve our fleet management procedures and driver safety program and is committed to developing a number of new programs and resources to enhance the existing programs and fill any future gaps: DVD s with competencies to be used to orientate drivers to specific vehicle groups and covering safety checks and safe driving techniques. Driver assessment program that provides options for managers aimed at inexperienced drivers, international drivers or drivers identified as an at risk driver. New resources to continue the road safety message web based skills and assessment program, new posters with messages targeting specific areas such as the use of mobile phones in vehicles, respect for other road users etc Bus driver program specifically for bus drivers transporting the elderly or people with disabilities. Developed in partnership with the RACQ and Mount Cotton Driver Training Centre. Eco driving program to compliment the DSAW
