4 Environmental Policy Customer satisfaction Fulfilling the demands of market and customer is the basis for the further positive development of our company. The constant rise in customer satisfaction is the necessary indicator for this development. Quality in service und material The basis to this target is not only the quality of our products, but all other services as well - starting from counseling, product design, administration up to the logistic process. Commitment to quality and environment Each employee is responsible for his/her part of the process. Self control means short reaction times and small reaction paths. This shall be a vital part of our efforts for being superior to our competitors. The protection of our environment is a basic policy of our company, which is realized by setting specific actions and targets on all company levels. Therefore, we support our employees in building an active part on planning, introduction and putting into action of environmental projects. Employee training The basis for the responsibility in the work place is an optimal training program for all employees, which is supported by the management.

5 Aiming to reduction of environmental impact Water, energy and chemical use reduction - smaller scale etching line A larger production etching facility was used by the laboratory for finished products control. As this facility was not used anymore for its original purpose - and its energy and water consumption was quite high - we decided to invest in a smaller line in order to save energy and water (and chemicals) in All those activities together saved ca 48% of water Water resource reduction Austria is a water rich country and the Enns facility is situated beneath 2 major rivers. The water needed for cooling purposes within our press process was originally taken from 3 wells owned by us. In order to save precious water resources, closed loops were installed in all press processes. This activity and the one described above were major contributors for the very satisfying water reduction Environmental Communication via Panasonic homepage Regular reporting on the above mentioned main environmental performance parameters via Panasonic homepage Emergency preparedness and response About our concept and training plan There are a lot of preventive activities to avoid or cope correctly with emergency situations. This is already in place with the relevant organisation i.e. we have trained specialists on fire safety, several specialists on general workplace safety, a specialised medical service, a poison specialist, a waste management specialist, a specialist for transport of dangerous goods, etc. These people are the center for preventive activities like specialised training courses, the relevant documentation and surveillance of processes and procedures. They are the relevant communication partners for interested - internal and external - partners such as governmental organisations, the local neighbourhood or customers and suppliers. Regular evaluation of the relevant processes and activities by means of internal audits, special risk evaluations such as workplace safety and health situation, the regular checking of equipment and tools, as well as regular analysis on emissions and other relevant environmental impact items actively contribute to a safe environment as well as preparedness for emgergency situations.
