2 Introduction Program Objectives Create a standard training curriculum in a modular, self-paced format Provide fundamental knowledge and skills needed to understand the operation of the facility Provide Plant and Site Specific Modules to train employees to operate and maintain specific facility systems and equipment Certify employees for their current positions using a validated test based process in an easy to use manner 2 Create an incentive based approach for employees to certify within the University s policies and procedures

5 Define Plant Operator Job Requirements Job requirements for Utilities employees were gathered and developed by IRI Generic lists of job requirements were combined and/or modified to fit each specific job positions requirements Facility technical documents, plant system and equipment lists were reviewed Current facility employees were interviewed and plant operation and maintenance practices were observed Existing training materials and records were reviewed 5
