2 Abstract A New trend for minimal invasive Ultrasound Assisted Lipoplasty(UAL) Won-jin Park MD, Phd; Kwon Joo, MD, PhD; Ki-Hoon Yang, MD, Phd Background This study was progressed to prove that a machine which has more stable power and safer mode than former UAL type machines can emulsify selectively fat cells of patient. Method Various size probe, 1.2mm to 3.7mm of diameter (frequency: KHz, output: Max 50Watt) of Ultra-z(Newpong,Korea), was used to lipo-plasty operation to total of 19 patients. Generally, body lipo-plasty was operated with N mode(continuous) and face lipo-plasty was operated with Z mode(pulsed). Result Minimal invasive UAL got good results with minimal bleeding and without skin damage by selectively emulsifying of fat cells during 4~6 weeks of observations after surgery. Specially, double chin lipoplasty got good results without skin laxity due to generation of micro-thermal energy by ultrasound. Applications which is considered importantly like Six-pack have been observed for 8 months. Conclusion Selective emulsification using maximum 50 Watt of output power was enough to have safe lipo-plasty surgery without serious tissue damage to patients. 2
