2 EBCO General Contractor, LTD. is pleased to provide a Scholarship to a successful student of Yoe High School desiring to become a professional in the Construction Industry. The value of the scholarship for 2014 is $5,000 paid as a lump-sum in the first year, with possible partial renewal for future years of study. Please read each section carefully and be sure to complete the checklist contained on the last page of this booklet to ensure that all documents have been included with your completed application. Best of luck! Section I: Selection Criteria Applicant must be pursuing a degree at a recognized institution in the areas of Construction Management or Construction Science. Once accepted, proof must be provided; Have a minimum of 3.25 GPA. Transcript must be provided; Complete and submit the enclosed application; Include three reference letters from non-family members; Attend an interview with the selection committee candidates under consideration will be contacted directly. 3 Section III: Important Dates Application Deadline All scholarship applications must be received by 5:00pm on Friday February 28, Applications received after this time will not be accepted. Please your application to with Yoe Scholarship Application in the Subject Line. Alternatively, you may drop off a hard copy application at our office located at: 305 W. Gillis Ave. Cameron, TX An will be sent to you confirming receipt of your application for both of these methods. Recipient Selection Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, comprised of representatives from EBCO General Contractor, LTD., the Cameron Industrial Foundation and Cameron ISD School Board. Candidates that are under consideration for selection will be contacted by EBCO General Contractor, LTD. for an interview. A selection will be made by Friday March 28, 2014, and the recipient of the scholarship will be notified by EBCO General Contractor, LTD. 2
