1 Product Guide Silvalea has designed a selection of rehabilitation aids, stand aid or stand slings which address anatomy pressure points/suitability (male/female) as well as consider activity, such as rehabilitation and comfort.

2 Introduction Materials and Fixings Stand aid slings and stand assist harnesses are often used in mobility rehabilitation and can be crucial to maintaining mobility levels in the elderly, disabled, and children. Maintaining fitness levels is vital to specific groups of patients/end users for long term health. Rehabilitation and stand training requires different sling or harness solutions not just for the mobility aid being deployed but the specific requirements of the end user and their current medical condition. Silvalea use a as a standard material for our sling manufacture. One of the benefits of is that it is easy of application. The nature of the material means it glides and slides smoothly and also dries quickly after washing. Various stand aids within this guide feature Quilted which allows for greater user comfort. Weight Limit 220kg/35st/485lbs Universal D-anserclip Fixings Silvalea has designed a selection of stand aid or stand assist slings and harnesses which specifically address anatomy pressure points/ suitability (male/female) as well as considering activity, such as rehabilitation and comfort. Universal D-anserclip fixing allows for greater hoist compatibility and is suitable for use on stud/ clip fixing spreader bars. Simple click on and click off action gives a secure lift for both caregiver and end user. Unlike other clip fixings on the market the D-anserclip will work with a variety of studs across a broad range of hoist manufacturers. Our universal clip is unique among clip fixing alternatives as it features loaded jaws as a safety precaution to prevent the clip from detachment whilst under-load. When applied to the fixing the spring loaded jaws have a snap action which signals the clip has been located successfully. Loop Fixings End user security is essential in the design of any stand aid, Silvalea has worked with many rehabilitation specialists as well as OTs and wound care specialists to ensure that each device can be tailored to fit specific needs for a number of complex scenarios which are inclusive of gender, age and condition. Slings and stand aids which feature the use of loop fixings allow for greater compatibility across a range of loop fixing hoists. The colour coded internal loop connections provide easy recognition for care givers, when applying to sling or stand aid. These loops also allow for the adjustment of the users position helping to provide a secure and comfortable transfer. 3 Special Features Soft Chest Stand Aid Elastic Elasticated central panel creates a corset style stand aid sling which provides the user with a tighter, more secure and additionally supportive fit. (See: pg.3 - Soft Chest Stand Aid) Fleece Soft faux sheepskin groin strap covers create greater user comfort on the male version of the walking harness. (See: pg.10 - Walking Harness) Non-Slip Non-slip back panels allow for additional security by preventing the user from slipping down within the sling. (See: pg.3 - Soft Chest Stand Aid pg.6 - Deluxe Rigid Stand Aid pg.7 - Bliss Stand Aid) Stand Assist aids such as the Soft Chest Stand Aid offers specific solutions for mobility rehabilitation particularly those end users who do not require ridged back/torso support during the seat to stand sequence or require a softer sling due to residual injury. Height adjustable for multi-patient application. Non-slip back panel prevents patient from sliding in the sling. Ideal for maintaining mobility or rehabilitating end users who have suffered injury and need to gradually build standing strength. 5 Deluxe Rigid Stand Aid Bliss Stand Aid AS116 BLISS Stud fixing spreader bar Very supportive corset style Stand Aid similar to the Silvalea Soft Chest but designed for end users who require additional torso support during the seat to stand sequence. The sling features additional padding, a soft foam board throughout and additional padding and non-slip panel to centre back preventing the end user from slipping in the sling when lifted. Velcro waist support with two sets of clunk-click buckles for user safety. Padded underarm rolls for extra comfort. Ideal for maintaining or rehabilitating the end users standing and walking ability. Patient must have some weight bearing ability. Only available with the clip fixing option. Similar to Silvalea s general stand aid; the Bliss is a Roll stand aid that sits under the arms. Extra length in the back and stiffeners make this style a more supportive option. Non-slip back panel prevents patient from sliding down the sling. Very padded for patients with limited. This stand aid is padded and offers superior comfort and support for end users. Velcro waist support with clunk-click buckle for user safety. 6 Walking Harness Lift Pants WLKH SIL1129 Groin area Torso Torso 2 & 5 The gender specific Standard Walking Harness is used to encourage the patient in standing and walking. Worn like a belt with two clunk-click buckles for user security. Padded underarm rolls for user comfort. The gender specific walking harness has been designed in exactly this way to provide maximum comfort during rehabilitation and gait training. Male - features separate groin straps with sheepskin covers for user comfort. Quick to apply clunk-click buckles fix these groin straps to the front of the harness. Female - features a full piece groin section that is shaped for maximum comfort and support. Specifically designed for the female form. Patient must have good core stability and weight bearing ability. Stand assist lift pants take the weight of the patient and are used for aiding rehabilitation. Excellent for practicing standing and gait training, lift pants provide a greater degree of movement whilst taking the burden of the majority of the body weight. Padded toweling sections sit against the patient for user comfort. Easy to apply; the sling sits between the legs and joins at the sides with loop fixings. Very comfortable to wear, designed specifically to reduce chaffing and provide a clean, supported lift. Can be used with a mobile hoist with enough lifting height or an overhead hoist which would provide plenty of space in the lifting area for freedom of movement.
