6 RHIO Services VHR Virtual Health Record A web-based tool for physicians and their staff. A query-based system to access patient information from across the 13-county service area. Patient consent required. EMR Integration The RHIO is currently connected to 19 EMR systems. Allows lab, radiology and transcribed results delivery into the physician inbox of an existing EHR. Introducing a Subscription service that pushes Admission and Discharge notifications to connected EHRs. DIRECT Secure, HIPAA compliant messaging service Supports transitions of care, referrals, peer-to-peer data exchange Introducing an Alerting service that delivers Admission and Discharge notifications to DIRECT users.

8 Engaging Patients & Privacy Patient Consent Patients must provide written consent to allow viewing of their VHR data Patients can revoke consent at any time Patients can request an audit of who has accessed information Patient Survey Results & Engagement in Rochester Currently 97% of our patients provide consent to their providers when asked Over 2M consent forms have been signed in our service area Approximately 890,000 unique patients Break the Glass Emergency access to patient information without patient consent Only used when an emergency exists and the person is in immediate need of medical attention and an attempt to secure consent would result in delay of treatment which would increase the risk to the person's life or health.
