1 RAISA Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is a professional, non-governmental, non-partisan political, nonprofit and public benefit association. PURPOSE The aim of Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is promoting and supporting information security activities in compliance with applicable laws and creating a community area for the exchange of knowledge between specialists, academic and corporate environments in Romania. OBJECTIVES To achieve the stated purpose, Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance proposes the following objectives: Collaboration with the academic community from Romania or abroad in order to organize conferences, scientific seminars and workshops for presenting the development and implementation of effective measures to improve information security; Collaboration with research centers, associations and companies from Romania or abroad, to organize informative events in information technology security field; To develop and sustain the activities of institutions contributing to the development and implementation of security measures in information structures; To perform specific programs for education and training of personnel involved in electronic information management (data processing, storage, security); To perform certification and accreditation activities for companies in information security field; To ensure the dissemination of notice relating to existing vulnerabilities and nationally and internationally newly identified threats; to provide solutions for data restoration and policies to prevent and combat incidents based on the information provided by suppliers of software solutions; To publish scientific journals for university staff, PhD students or Master's students, researchers, students and other professional categories in the field of information security and cybercrime; To grant awards, scholarships or sponsorships to people with outstanding merits in the field of information security. 2 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESIDENT Professor Ioan BACIVAROV, PhD Founded in 2012, RAISA Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance started as an initiative dedicated to promote standards of security and the fight against cybercrime. The vision of the Association is to promote research and education in information security field and to contribute to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and technology in this domain. RAISA has a strong representation at the national level, bringing together professors and researchers from top universities and Romanian institutions, PhD, masters and license students, as well as companies in the IT&C segment. 3 EDUCATION RESEARCH The main projects developed by the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance are research projects whose principal beneficiaries are students, PhD students and specialist in security and cybercrime. Project: 2013/ RAISA /05 Implementation of IT&C Technologies in On-line Education System Goal: Developing an e-learning platform for the purpose to develop special training programs and perfecting the students, PhD students and personnel involved in the management of electronic information (processing, management, security). Project platform: Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is involved with professionals and academic teaching stuff in supporting scientific activities aimed to form the students in information technology field. RAISA is present to the specialized courses in the academic master program Quality and Dependability Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology - University Politehnica of Bucharest. RAISA organizes interactive workshops, delivered by specialists in information technology, security and cybercrime. Some of the workshops conducted as part of research projects: Methods for Cyber-Attacks Investigation Access to Education and Information through Internet Information Security in Office Applications Technologies for Websites Development Project: 2013/ RAISA /03 Protection of Computer Systems against Cybercrime Phenomenon Goal: Developing a platform for communicating important information regarding latest cyber-attacks and methods of protection against them in order to provide to the public effective methods to prevent and to combat the phenomenon of cybercrime. Project platform: Project: 2013/ RAISA /02 Studies on Implementing Safety Measures in order to Ensure Information Security Goal: Studying the best policies and security methods for computer systems and communications and disseminating them into an online platform in order to promote safety measures for information security. Project platform: Project: 2012/RAISA/01 Scientific Research Promotion in Information Security Field Goal: Editing a scientific journal for academic professorial stuff, PhD students, researchers, graduate students and other professional categories in the field of information security and cybercrime. 4 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF INFORMATION SECURITY AND CYBERCRIME IJISC International Journal of Information Security and Cybercrime is a biannual publication edited by RAISA with the purpose of analyzing information, computers and communications security and identifying new valences of the cybercrime phenomenon. Through the theoretical and practical addressed issues, the Journal target are experts from information security or cybercrime field, university students, PhD students or people interested to improve or to update their knowledge in this domain. 5 INFORMATION SECURITY WEB PORTAL CYBERCRIME WEB PORTAL The web portal is developed in the research project Studies on Implementing Safety Measures in order to Ensure Information Security, supported by RAISA Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance. The web portal is developed in the research project Protection of Computer Systems against Cybercrime Phenomenon, supported by RAISA Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance. Portal home page Portal applications page The platform provides tutorials and security solutions, information about publications and books, training courses and academic master programs in information security field, events (scientific sessions, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.), online scan tools for malware and a discussion forum. The web portal is a platform that equally addresses to both information security experts and people interested to improve or to update their knowledge in this field. The web portal is developed under the aegis of RAISA Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance and represents the Association Official Channel in information security. It represents a communication platform between cybercrime investigation experts and users interested to improve or to update their knowledge in this field. The platform provides a discussion forum to encourage communication between users interested in the investigation of cybercrime field. 6 E-LEARNING PLATFORM The e-learning platform is developed by Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance in partnership with MicoStyle S.R.L in the research project entitled Implementation of IT&C technologies in on-line educational system. The on-line courses are obtained with a maximum impact which closely respects the learning objectives initially set. With the help of this technology different types of files may be available for the students: electronic files, web pages and multimedia presentations stored on a server and accessed through a browser. The used technologies are interactive, allowing a total feedback in real-time and formative and summative, quantitative or qualitative assessments, in an easy way.
