3 WHISKY Campbeltown Springbank 10yo The nose suggests a wide range of aromas, from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat, the palate excites even further with a touch of smoke, vanilla essence and nutmeg. An iconic dram! 4.00 Highland and Islands Ardmore Matured in bourbon barrels, the rich, smoky Ardmore Character has been rounded with some sweetness and delicate spiciness. Ardmore is a good example of a Classic Highland Malt Aberfeldy 12yo It s a smooth single malt whisky. It has a warm gold colour and gives off aromas of heather honey and a fruity softness. Full bodied whiskey, warm with a syrupy texture on the tongue providing a full flavoured finish Aberfeldy 21yo The Aberfeldy distillery sources its water from the Pitilie Burn, prized locally for its purity and rich deposits of gold and minerals. This is a traditionally crafted 21 year old central Highland single malt whisky. It is full-flavoured and medium bodied with the Aberfeldy honeyed notes Arran 10yo Founded in 1995, Arran Distillery is situated at Lochranza, the most northerly village on the island. There are sweet toffee notes with hints of toasted malt Ben Nevis 10yo Immediate deep oakiness offers enormous substance from the off. Typically mouthfilling with an almost rum-like rich estery quality which guarantees a big, fattish mouth feel Blair Athol 12yo Founded in 1798 near Pitlochry. Closed in 1932, it was bought by blenders Arthur Bell and rebuilt in The body is mellow with a deeptoned aroma on the nose, It has a strong fruity flavour on the palate and a smooth finish. 4.50

4 Clynelish 14yo A delightfully complex spicy and perfumed nose, with some floral and malty hints. Multi-layered palate, with some slight citrus hints on a honey background with peat and delicious spices before a honey finish with a trace of brine Dalmore 12yo Pure, clean water taken from the local River Alness is used to create The Dalmore in the time-honoured way. A malt arousing with fruit (orange marmalade), malt and sherry and a remarkably long finish Dalwhinnie 15yo Dalwhinnie is the Gaelic for 'meeting place' and is the highest distillery in Scotland. Smooth, yellow, subtle with a heathery honey taste and just a hint of smoke Edradour 10yo The Edradour distillery was founded in Besides being Scotland's smallest distillery, many claim it to be the prettiest. Slightly sweet, malty, sherry and clean. Finish is mellow, warm with some spice Glenmorangie Original Smooth and delicate with appealing honey and citrus flavours. Well balanced with a subtle smokiness giving a fresh aromatic and refined taste Glenmorangie 18yo The 18 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky of serious distinction. Once it has spent fifteen years maturing in American white oak casks approximately 30% is transferred into Spanish Oloroso casks to spend a further three years maturing. Then, when both elements have reached 18 years, they are blended together to create a whisky with a rich bouquet and full, rounded flavour Glenmorangie 25yo The rarest and oldest member of the Glenmorangie family, this is a single malt of notable class and intensity. Full bodied and sumptuous, the Glenmorangie 25 Years Old matured in a range of casks including American white oak, Oloroso sherry casks and French Burgundy casks before being blended back together in exact quantities Glengoyne 10yo Situated only 12 miles from Glasgow this picturesque distillery produces an unpeated malt of differing vintages. The malt is air dried and has no traces of smoke. A past winner of the"best of the Best" Award in The Whisky Magazine. Deep rich flavours with a hint of apple. Long and alluring finish. 3.60

5 Glen Mhor 1980 A welcome Gordon & Macphail bottling of the little-seen Glen Mhor from the 1980 vintage. The distillery was demolished over twenty years ago, and the site is now home to a supermarket. The nose is quite subtle with a lightness. There are notes of wet stones and a soft acidity. The oak is green and chewy with notes of Madeira and fudge and a gentle rubbery note. The palate is of medium body with a superb balance. There are notes of dried herbs and soft wood smoke. The finish is of good length with a zesty orange note Glenturret 10yo From the oldest distillery in Scotland, this malt delivers a smooth dry finish with a nutty and apple taste. Besides this bottling of the single malt in the pure form Oban 14yo Oban is also known as the 'Gateway to the Isles'. Rich, elegant and glowing with sea air notes and an underlying rich fruitiness 4.50 Royal Brackla 16 Royal Brackla was the first distillery to be allowed to use the 'Royal' title, and 2015 saw it get its own range of single malts. Part of the Last Great Malts series, the 16 Year Old is finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and is sweet and spicy, with a hint of smoke in the mix, too Royal Brackla 21 The oldest of the three-strong Royal Brackla range, the 21 year old has been aged using sherry casks, which has led to flavours of dark chocolate, anise and summer berries with some sweetness Tomatin 12 years old A polished, mellow, very approachable Speysider, Tomatin was once the largest distillery in Scotland with 23 stills and a production capacity of 12 million litres of alcohol per year. This sherry-finished version was relaunched in 2010 and is a noticeable improvement on the old 12yo Tomatin 18yo Tomatin was founded in 1897 but expanded greatly in the 1950s and 1970s, so much so that it became the largest malt whisky distillery in Scotland. A sweet whisky with malty, soft fruit flavours. A malt that develops more sophistication with age Tomatin 21yo A limited edition release from the Tomatin distillery of 21 year old whisky, made from 6 bourbon casks and 1 sherry butt. 6 Highland Park 12yo The best known of the two Orkney Distilleries. Honey sweetness followed by fruit. maybe pineapple, apple or pear. On the palate it is drying and leaves a gentle smoky feeling and a flavour that just keeps on going. Once called the "greatest all-rounder" by award winning whisky journalist, the late Michael Jackson Highland Park 18yo Introduced to the Highland Park portfolio in Gentle peat, soft toffee, floral notes, and honey on the beautifully fragrant nose. Superbly balanced on the velvety palate, with brittle toffee, stewed fruits, peat honey, and a hint of coffee. Smoke and more toffee and mingle in the long, elegant finish Highland Park 21yo Generous, slightly sweet, smoky, buttery palate - invigorated by a spray of sweet orange oils and rich dark chocolate. Aroma is Sooty seaweed with a touch of linseed oil and appealing lightly smoked sappy wood, chocolate profiterole and faint orange zest aromas Isle of Jura 10yo Jura was founded at Craighouse in 1810, the island's only village. The machinery and buildings were owned by different individuals, and a dispute between two led to its closure for over fifty years. A malt with a little peatiness and cereal notes Isle Of Jura 21yo Matured in vintage casks, it has whispers of maraschino cherries, soft marzipan and liquorice, with hints of crushed walnuts and bitter chocolate for a rich, full bodied and flawless flavour. With the further flavour of citrus fruits cutting through, this is one memorable masterpiece Isle of Jura Superstition Blend of two age whiskies from the Jura distillery, one heavily peated and the other lighter and more delicate. Spice, honey, pine and peat aromas make a dramatic impact Talisker 10yo The Cuillins are the dramatic hills of Skye, the home of Talisker. The distillery is on the exposed west coast, on the seaweedy shores of Loch Harport. Powerful, sweet and robust. Maritime on the nose - sweet, spicy undertones on the tongue. 3.60

7 Talisker 18yo This has a fine balance of peat, spice and sweetness. It has full, pleasant, smooth body. On the palate it's sweet in front, then more assertive, with a whiff of smoke. The overall effect is warming. The development is towards smoke, coal-tar and toffee Old Pulteney 12yo A very popular highland dram, with a big sherry presence alongside sweet citrus fruit notes and a faintly detectable whiff of brine Old Pulteney 17yo After 17 years maturation the result is intricate and memorable, well balanced with a hint of sea air and traces of fruits. A rich smooth expression with a long lasting memorable finish. Matured in Sherry and Bourbon Barrels Old Pulteney 21yo The 21 year old is a mix of fino sherry and refill bourbon cask matured whisky. Taste is a sweet start, moving on to marzipan and then sour fruit, green apple and cinnamon. There's also vanilla, dry wood and some of the bananas from the nose Royal Brackla 16yo Part of the Last Great Malts series, the 16 Year Old is finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and is sweet and spicy, with a hint of smoke in the mix, too Royal Brackla 21yo The oldest of the three-strong Royal Brackla range, the 21 year old has been aged using sherry casks, which has led to flavours of dark chocolate, anise and summer berries with some sweetness Scapa: The Orcadian A 2015 addition to the Scapa range, the Skiren is a handsomely honey'd single malt Scotch whisky which has been distilled in the Scotch whisky industry's only remaining working Lomond Still! It was matured in first fill American oak casks, bringing plenty of vanilla and honey notes to the table Tobermory 10yo From the Island of Mull comes this fresh and vibrant malt. There are notes of toasted cereal and salted caramel. 5.50

8 Islay Ardbeg 10yo This whisky is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance Bowmore 12yo The distillery dates back to The whisky has a fresh clean nose and a light body with a smooth finish. Towards the other end of the spectrum from Ardbeg. Bowmore delivers with a little more subtlty 4.50 Bruichladdich 10yo Smooth on the palate, and very drinkable, with creamy vanilla, honeycomb, banana bread, bright lemon, melon, tangerine, candied ginger, and delicate brine Bunnahabhain 2006 A relatively young bottling of Bunnahabhain from Gordon & MacPhail, released under the MacPhail's Collection label. This has been in sherry casks since 2006 giving it some richness balanced by sweet fruity flavours Bunnahabhain 18yo This beautiful golden spirit's nose releases honeyed nuts and a slightly sea-induced salty tang. Rich toffee and leathery oak aromas can be sensed upon further inspection. The palate is influenced by mellow sherried nuts and shavings of the finest natural oak wood Caol Ila 12yo A pungent whiff of oily peat on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with a medicinal, seaweedy character accompanying the smoky peat, spices, brine and a peppery finish Lagavulin 16yo Home to the definitive Islay malt whisky. Peated malt, slow distillation and long maturation together ensure Lagavulin develops a complex, rich, peaty character Laphroaig 10yo From the remote island of Islay in the Western Isles of Scotland. Laphroaig is pronounced.la-froyg. Full golden in colour with a phenolic, seaweedy, peaty nose. Rich and smoky, full peated with a hint of sweetness. Salty finish. 3.60

9 Laphroaig 15yo Laphroaig 15 year old was first created 30 years ago. Barrels were individually selected for their particularly mellow rounded flavour. Initial scents of grapefruit and fresh mint. A touch of water releases salted caramel, with signature Islay peat smoke underlying sweet orchard fruit aromas Ledaig 10 years old The palate is sweet yet medicinal flavours release sparks that lead to an explosion of spicy pepper. The omnipresence of smoke subtly boasts savoury salt maltiness Lowlands Auchentoshan 12yo A gold honey colour with a crème brulee, citrus and nutty, green leaf note. Smooth and sweet with hints of citrus on the palate Glenkinchie 12yo Located by Prestonpans, South of Edinbrugh, in East Lothian. This malt is called a Lowlander wearing a kilt due to its fuller body and richer flavours Speyside Aberlour 12yo A classic Speyside single malt but an age expression not usually seen in the UK. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. Welcoming, vibrant and rewarding. A rich mellow palate with soft dried fruit flavours Aberlour 16 A fruity and spicy release from Aberlour, this 16 year old has been matured in a combination of sherry butts and first-fill bourbon casks Balvenie 12yo Double Wood Balvenie Distillery is located in Dufftown, Speyside. A 12 year old Speyside malt Scotch whisky matured in bourbon casks, then sweet oloroso casks. The result is a rich, mellow flavour of great depth and unusual complexity 4.50 Balvenie 15yo This is characterised by honey, vanilla and oakiness, yet each is subtly different. Rich and complex, it has a honeyed maltiness with vanilla, oak flavours and delicate spice notes. It has a long and complex finish with a touch of liquorice. 5.50

10 Balvenie 21 An additional period of maturation in 30 year-old port pipes has given this aged Balvenie an extra level of depth and concentration of flavour, adding potent fruit and smoke notes to the silky-smooth full-bodied palate. Rich, indulgent, after-dinner Speyside at its best Benromach 10yo From Speyside s smallest working distillery comes this superb, well balanced malt and winner of many awards already in its short life. There is a rich sherry influence and hints of fruit and a nutty chocolate Benromach Peat Smoke At Benromach small batches of whisky have been produced using the finest malted barley dried using high levels of peat smoke. Benromach Peat Smoke is a full-bodied whisky, complex with a seriously smoky character. ` 4.00 Cardhu 12yo This is a classic from the very heart of Speyside. It has a full body to this malt with a richness and good complexity. A slight smokiness shows itself on the nose and on the finish along with apple and pear notes Cragganmore 12yo Cragganmore Distillery, on the banks of the river Spey, is home to one of the most complex and characterful malt whiskies of the Speyside region. Complex, mature and well balanced with a slight fruitiness on the tongue, overlaid with sweet smoky notes Fettercairn 24yo Cereal, caramel and citrus fruits, plus a slightly savoury note and coal fire cinders on the nose. More perfumed with the addition of water. Fresh fruit on the palate, especially apples, aniseed and a subtle note of peat. Smoke, spice, black coffee and treacle in the lingering finish Fettercairn 30yo The nose displays a vibrancy that belies the whisky's years. It offers marmalade, plum jam and toffee notes, plus hints of Sherry. Pineapple, marzipan and soft fudge on the rich palate. Treacle toffee, liquorice and peat smoke in the long finish. Complex and satisfying Glendronach 12 A dense, heavily-sherried dram from a distillery now producing again after a six-year layoff. A malt best suited to after-dinner sipping. 4.20

11 Glenfiddich 15yo An icon of Malt whisky the world over. The 15yo is a rich sherried styled Malt with orange and other citrus fruit notes. These blend with the flavours of raisins, spices and the oak casks Glenfiddich 18yo The 18yo is packed with a larder full of flavours. Extremely smooth and inviting offering candied fruit, butter fudge, ginger, golden syrup, citrus fruit peel and spices Glenfarclas 10yo Atruly stand alone distillery and one of the best known to connoisseurs. Straw gold, delicately light, sweet and malty, leaving a long slightly spicy finish Glenfarclas 15 On the nose we find fruitcake, raisins, honey, crystallised ginger, orange marmalade, mixed peel, heather and cake spices like cinnamon and clove. The palate is medium-full and silkily-texured and continues with the flavours from the nose all on a base of polished oak, leading to a very smooth, long finish Glengoyne 10yo This highland distillery is located on the West Highland way near Loch Lomond. It uses only air dried barley so no smoke here. A soft, sweet 10yo that has bourbon notes and a creamy moth feel. A medium finish very clean and dry Glenlivet Glenlivet is the oldest licensed distillery in Speyside nestling in the beautiful Livet Valley, and has been called a benchmark for Speyside Malts. It is a combination of Fruity and leafy with notes of fresh hay and a heavy sweetness. A sweet orange note is detectable Glenlivet 12yo Nose of cooked apples with cinnamon. Palate is balanced with some spicy notes coming through. Rich in cinnamon and vanilla with a dry finish Glen Moray 10yo With a sweet nose of white fruit, toffee, sultana grapes and buttery yeastiness. The finish dry and spicier with more woodiness and a touch of white pepper Glen Moray 16yo Fragrant, bourbon with notes of bourbon and Madeira. Hints of cooked fruit and cereal notes with a biscuit dunked in thick vanilla cream. Notes of apple peel, with a touch of chocolate. 7.50

12 Glen Spey 12yo The only official bottling from Glen Spey, with most of the whisky going into J&B blends. The bourbon cask is obvious with vanilla, butterscotch and a touch of oak. The sweets come through second with apricots and some citrus 5.75 Knockando 12yo This pleasant and charming single malt is ideal at any time. With flavours of honey, cereals and a sweetness of creamy toffee this seems a straight forward malt Linkwood 12yo This distillery is situated just on the boundary of Elgin, the capital of Speyside. This is a whisky that is full and rich. The palate is medium with a delicious oily, honey and pine note. A nuttiness comes through along with some herbal notes Linkwood 15yo Mute swans and other migrating birds use the cooling water reservoir as a temporary home in the well-kept grounds of Linkwood Distillery, on the outskirts of Elgin. The style is mid to full bodied, fruity and fragrant, with honeysuckle being noted Macallan Gold Macallan Gold was released in late 2012 as part of a series of colourthemed bottlings introduced to replace the distillery's age-statement expressions. Gold has been produced from 9-15yo first fill and refill sherry casks and is designed to sit between the now-defunct 10yo Sherry Oak and 10yo Fine Oak bottlings Macallan 18yo An iconic whisky. Extremely rich yet smooth and very well rounded. Harnessing the flavours from the wood and the Sherry in its full body Macallan 21yo The nose is intense rich aroma, with hints of vanilla and passion fruit. Palate is soft, rich and spicy with hints of oranges and peat. The finish lintering with hints of wood smoke Mortlach 15yo All the pleasures of a good Speyside single malt are to be found in Mortlach. G&M have filled sherry casks with new make Mortlach since long before World War Two. 4.50

13 Singleton of Dufftown 18yo The deep amber of this rich and smooth whisky sets it off beautifully against the pastel blue tint of the bottle that surrounds it. There s a distinctly autumnal feel to this malt, which combines the soft ripeness of apples and berries with a nutty, spicy dryness. 7.25
