3 Your 5-step guide to moving with ease. Like what you ve heard about our checking accounts, but worried about the work involved in switching? We hear you! With our Switch Kit, you can switch everything, including direct deposits and automatic payments, to one of our checking accounts in five simple steps. 1. Open an Avadian checking account. If you don t already have a savings account with us, you will need to open one first. All it takes is $5. Once you do, you will be eligible to apply for all of our other great products and services, like our checking. With our checking account, you enjoy checking that s better tailored to your needs. Plus you re eligible for our popular Centsible Savings program, which you definitely want to ask us about! 2. Stop using other accounts. Discontinue using your checking account at your other financial institution. Let all your outstanding checks and debit card transactions clear. This may take several days. Destroy your old checks and debit cards. We will be happy to shred these items for you, just drop by your local branch with items in tow. 3. Move direct deposits. Immediately contact your payroll office and/or fill out our Direct Deposit Authorization Form. Give this form to your employer s payroll department, the Social Security Administration, your retirement plan, or any other source of direct deposit. To transfer your direct deposit to Avadian, simply include a deposit slip or voided starter check from your new Avadian account. A Standard Form 1199A must be filled out for Social Security direct deposits. These are available at all Avadian locations. 4. Switch automatic payments and withdrawals. Use the Automatic Payment Change form to change any automatic withdrawals or payment services. Don t forget any payments that use your old debit card number. 5. Close other account. Once you have completed the four steps listed above, you can close your old account by simply sending the Funds Transfer Authorization form to your former financial institution.
