2 For IKEA er det viktig at underleverandører oppfyller standard krav innen lovgivning, miljø, arbeidsmiljø, sosiale forhold og kontinuerlig forbedring. De krav som spesifiseres er elementære og relevante for alle organisasjoner, uansett type virksomhet. Det som IKEA legger opp til er at for å kunne være en godkjent leverandør til IKEA må punktene i IWAY Standard være oppfylt og etterleves.

6 26 CHAPTER 1 GENERAL CONDITIONS & LEGAL REQUIREMENTS IWAY Compliance commitment signed by SP Communication of IWAY to employees and subcontractors SP carries out an internal IWAY audit every 12 months SP has license to operate SP has a list on IWAY relevant laws and regulations

7 27 CHAPTER 2 ENVIRONMENT EMISSIONS TO AIR AND WATER, NOISE Permits by authorities (emissions/noise/water) Legal demands are met SP measure/calculate emissions of CO2 Inspections by authorities

9 29 CHAPTER 4 Fuels and Chemicals SP has a list of chemicals used SP has MSDS available for workers SP has written procedures on procurement, storage and use of chemicals SP relevant co-workers have been trained Fuels and chemicals are safely stored Legal demands are met

10 30 CHAPTER 5 Hazardous and non-hazardous waste SP has list on types and quantities SP has procedures on handling, storing, transportation and disposal of waste SP co-workers handling waste are trained SP does not landfill hazardous waste on site SP use only licensed contractors for transportation, storage and disposal of hazardous waste (licenses available)

11 31 CHAPTER 6 Fire Safety SP has documented fires and fire incidents (reported to authorities) SP co-workers have got fire safety instructions SP has appropriate fire fighting equipment and emergency exits The fire fighting equipment is checked at least every 12 months SP has evacuation plans and perform evacuation drills

12 32 CHAPTER 7 Worker Safety (1(2)) SP has documented work accidents and incidents SP co-workers have adequate safety training Machines, vehicles have safety instructions and warning signs. Legal demands on safety on mobile equipment Occupational hazards are avoided Co-workers and visitors have and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) free of charge First Aid equipment is available

15 35 CHAPTER 9 Wages, benefits and working hours SP co-workers are employed according to applicable laws and regulations SP co-workers have a written contract SP has payroll and attendance records SP meet legal demands on working hours, driving hours, overtime compensation for overtime time off (days off, breaks...) minimum wages, payment time benefits

17 37 CHAPTER 11 Forced and bonded labour no forced, prison, bonded or indentured labour SP co-workers are free to leave the premises after work SP does not withhold ID card, passport or require deposit SP shall not make any deductions for co-workers that leave

18 38 CHAPTER 12 Discrimination no discrimination due to race, creed, sex, marital/maternal status, age, political affiliation, national origin, sexual orientation or any other basis prohibited by law. SP decisions (e.g. hiring, salary, promotion, termination, retirement...) are based on individual skills and ability to do the job.

19 39 CHAPTER 13 Freedom of association SP co-workers are not prevented from associating freely SP co-workers are not prevented from exercising collective bargaining

20 40 CHAPTER 14 Harassment, Abuse and Disciplinary Actions SP does not engage in or support the use of corporal punishment, threats, coercion or sexual harassment SP shall not make use of public warning and punishment systems
