13 Wireless Routing Described Goal is to find the optimal route for a call on a per sector basis. Analyze a sector at a time for the PSAP that owns the sector as designated by ESN programming. Route analysis driven by: Reduction in transfer frequency to another primary PSAP Optimizing sector routing by presence of majority of calls within PSAP Shape Visually examining call patterns and layout to determine if routing adjustment is needed (ex: calls on highway/freeway vs. frontage roads)

17 Why Does This Matter? Enables a PSAP to monitor that a carrier fulfills requested updates and changes to sector routing, ALI data, etc. Enables adjustments to ESN (legacy) sector routing to reduce Primary-to-Primary transfers (faster public response) Enables faster NG911 provisioning rules (you ll already have legacy optimized). Enables validation of Phase 1 Tower information against routing sheets to ensure ALI information is correct.

19 Legacy vs. Next Gen Real-Time Monitoring Next Gen is meant for real-time analysis, but legacy systems can also be monitored ALI and CAD are closest and provide real-time as it happens data feeds. ESINet i3 Logging analysis Network Monitoring at the PSAP Station and floor activity monitoring Wireless network monitoring possible through ALI analysis by carrier and class For some data though, we still need to wait for the call to end to do all calculations (Ex: call duration, hold times, etc)
