1 7th Board ( ) Election Candidate s Candidate: Chan Yuk Shing, William 1992 MBA Class Accelerated Programme & 1999 BSc(Hons) Class Financial Services, Manchester School of Management, UMIST I am one of the few senior alumni and key supporters of the Association (e.g. briefing session in HK and Shenzhen); a former member of the preparatory committee ( ), honorary treasurer ( , ), committee member ( ) and education advisor to the Association in programme and professional relationship development; I am also a BSc(Hons) graduate in Financial Services of the Manchester School of Management (merged with MBS in Oct 2004), UMIST. Currently I am an education/training consultant with teaching experience with the HK Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong, University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University, the Deakin University (Australia), the University of Northumbia (UK) and Chartered Institute of Bankers/Hong Kong Institute of Bankers in Hong Kong; also a local instructor to the MBS Global MBA programme in ME, CRM, IPM, FANA & FACC (since Jan 2007). My hands-on teaching experience at postgraduate, undergraduate and professional levels will continue contribute to the Association/MBA programme delivery in HK. Statement of election: Continue support to the HK campus in student enrollment, briefing & orientation, etc. Keep on arousing awareness & reputation of the Association of the general public in HK Maintain financial independence (self-financing) of the Association; generate more financial resources for further development of the Association Continue support to current students in reflecting opinions regarding the programme delivery Increase exposure of members & current students by collaboration with other professional bodies and Universities (UK, HK, China & others) Bring in more benefits in terms of corporate privileges to our members full & associate, to increase our member size in long run. 1 P age

2 7th Board ( ) Election Candidate s Candidate: Chong Po Ying, Crystal Graduated Master in Marketing (2008); Have been working in activities/ events sector more than 15 years; Current working as an Activities Officer at Hong Kong Institute of Marketing, organising talks/seminars/ workshops/ events and gathering for marketers. As an experienced event organiser, I d like to contribute MBSAAHK as following: Expand the network with universities, local associations and organisations; Strengthen the connection with MBS alumni in China; Organise various activities to benefit our members and enhance MBSAAHK s image and awareness; Create more channels for external and internal networking. I hope my enthusiasm and passion in event industry could support MBSAAHK future development. Candidate: Chow Man Tin, Tanny Graduated MBA with MBS (2003); Have been working in the accounting field for more than 15 years Current working as Regional Controller at Magnum (Beijing) Extra curricular activities : Member of HKICPA forensic Interest Group Professional Qualification : HKICPA, AICPA, CISA, CIA, CGA MBSAAHK could provide members with an opportunity not only to maintain the network but also to ensure the continuity of our learning. It was my rewarding experience to have been the vice chair lady for the period between 2008 and I would like to increase my involvement with MBSAAHK; my objectives of contribution are as follows: to promote the status of the MBSAAHK; to assist in the alumni network development with the support of the MBSAAHK; to support the operation of MBSAAHK; to serve as a communication channel among the Association and alumnus in Beijing 2 P age

Being the board member and Hon Treasurer of MBS Alumni Associate China in Year 2007 and Year Working in a Hong Kong Public listed company as an accounting manager and frequently travel to China Member of HKICPA and ACCA MBA (University of Manchester) I aim at foster friendship and build up networking opportunity among alumni members and graduates from different parts of the world. I wish to act as a facilitator to establish learning opportunities for members and students. I hope that with the help of Alumni Association, the reputation of MBS could be improved. Candidate: Ho Lut Kei, Louise Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science (The University of Toronto, Canada) Pass with Distinction in MBA (Manchester Business School) With Over 10 years of experience in the retail banking and investment banking industry. Participated in the School Company partnership program organized by the youth Development Council in 2006 Joined the High Achievement Company Ambassador team to deliver/coach a group of secondary school students in terms of career aspiration and planning Master of Ceremony in MBSAA CN Alumni Dinner 2010 I wish to work with all alumni association members to enhance the status of Manchester Business School in Hong Kong and the region, to upgrade our management knowledge and practice, and to promote the MBS to the society. I aim at achieving this through: Encourage students and graduates to join the MBSAA China and build a base of volunteers to assist MBS & its alumni Provide networking and social opportunities for alumni living in the region to strengthen the alumni link with students, & MBS. Foster recognition of the academic excellence and accomplishments of MBS, its alumni and students. Support or sponsor appropriate community service projects. Promote career networking opportunities and career development for alumni, students, and interested industries/businesses. 4 7th Board ( ) Election Candidate s Candidate: Lai Pui Ling, Pauline Member of HKICPA, ACCA MBS MBA Graduate of 2004 Stand-in Convener of the Structure Group, Preparation Committee of MBS Alumni Association Hong Kong (2004) Lead Coordinator of MBS Alumni Association Hong Kong - AGM / Annual Dinner Working Group of the event in September 2005 Founding Chairman of the MBS Alumni Association Hong Kong in Advisor of the MBS Alumni Association China since 2006 Enhancing MBSAA China is enhancing you. Unity of all the alumni in China for the good of all the alumni of MBS is my goal of running this election. MBSAA China is the umbrella under which all the alumni in China will enjoy their lives and careers. I encourage all the alumni in China to join together to share the joyful moments in all the events organised in the name of MBSAA China which is the common asset of all the alumni. Wherever city our alumni live, reside or work, I always remember their contributions towards MBSAA China. I appeal all the alumni in all parts of China, be they in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai or Macau or other China cities to vote for me as a board member of the coming board of MBSAA China in Manchester Business School is a leading business school in the world. To represent the alumni members in all parts of Mainland China and Hong Kong, I will dedicate my best effort to MBSAA China to enhance and improve its status, to strengthen the network connections with alumni members, to establish channels to communicate with other alumni around the world and to provide more career development opportunities to our alumni. Being the Stand-in Convener of the Structure Group in the Preparation Committee in 2004, the achievement of having the Alumni Association formally registered was a great encouragement for me to continue the contribution to the Committee. The First AGM and Annual Dinner was also a great project of the Committee, which we worked untiringly and voluntarily. I believe that the cohesiveness of the alumni has been strengthened. I have been actively participated in various social and academic events organized by MBSAA China, the School, the University. Besides these, I have been helping the School/the Centre in recruitment and strategic development in East Asia in the last 6 years. Connection with other MBS alumni in China and in the world is also important for our members to widen their horizon and exposures. Let s enhance ourselves together. In the coming year, I hope that the new Board will put more emphasis on career development for our alumni, so that we can empower our members in their business areas. 4 P age

To cultivate stronger bonding among the alumni, students, the School and the University. To contribute skills and supports to MBS alumni and students To help the development of MBSAA China as a premium platform for social and business networks for alumni and students. To create value to the Association, the School and the University. To assist the school in achieving stronger reputation Candidate: Lee Wai Cheung, William Master of Business Administration 2006 Being a gather of two and a full time senior employee of a listed company that requires business frequent travel into China has taken up a lot of my energy an time. Nonetheless, I made it and graduated with an MBA degree in 2006, and have become a supportive alumni of MBS since then. I know how difficult it is to go through the education and want to help other students and alumni who are in need. It is my pleasure to furnish my personal statement to run for the election in 2011 with the following reasons. Encourage working students to bite the bullet to finish the course. Expand the network and form supporting groups for the students / alumni who is under stress and financial difficulty that need alumni s support Can be a speaker of MBA alumni functions Familiar with Hotel & F&B industry and can help to find venues for MBA gatherings Since I travel to China and short station from time to time and hope be able to support the regional office and bridging the HK & PRC alumni Last, but not the least is to become an MBA Ambassador to recruit more students. 5 P age

6 7th Board ( ) Election Candidate s Candidate: Ling Sze Ka, Calla I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in With over 10 years of experience in banking industry specializing in the marketing and business development areas, which have developed me with strong communication and interpersonal skills. I will assist to promote the fame of the MBS of University of Manchester in Hong Kong through social activities. Through organized activities, domestic and social, to encourage alumni members to exchange ideas and experiences based on open attitude to enrich a harmonious circle amongst us. Candidate: Lin Pujie, Steven Convener of Structure Sub-committee in the Preparation Committee of MBS Alumni Association (China) Honour Secretary of MBS Alumni Association (China) Board Member of MBS Alumni Association (China) To assist the development of the MBS Alumni Association in the Greater China Region; To be a mentor for MBS students in developing career plans in mainland China To assist MBS in expanding networks throughout the Greater China Region. This sums up two decades in Supply Chain (pardon the pun) and Manufacturing consulting, sales and management. Developed solid expertise in enterprise business applications, processes and technologies covering multiple industries. Currently driving sales enablement, leads to closure pipeline management and campaigns in institutional and commercial sectors with Trade and Supply Chain banking products and services. Previously held key roles in north Asia including the running of a listed manufacturer in HK, US enterprise software company in China; professional and technology services company covering north Asia; and sales operations of a global software company in Asia Pacific. And as well, helped tutor MBS students in the study of Strategy Management for many years, whilst enjoyed being an active alumnus in HK. Promote friendship and collaboration across cultures, leveraging the unique position of MBS, its global network and academic excellence. Education strengthens knowledge and culture. To weave and foster the values of societies, cultures, organizations, the ability in bridging people together is the key; to trust, to play and to be friends. This is where MBS and its alumni shine. Being a MBS graduate, and an active alumnus, not only has it been a great honour but absolutely with great pleasures too. After the valuable experience in supported the founding of MBS alumni in HK, I pledge, to this aim, to continue my efforts in assisting the alumni and the board in the coming year. Candidate: Yuen Chi Hung, Francis Master of Business Administration 2002 ACA, FCCA, FCPA, MHKSI, FTIHK, CTA To strengthen the alumni record and relationship of MBSAACN including Hong Kong and Mainland China. To promote the brand name of MBSAACN by participating fund raising event of charity bodies in Hong Kong. To enhance the existing alumni membership fee system so as to provide sufficient funding source for the operations of alumni event. 7 P age
