2 OVERVIEW The SNMP/WEB card provides you with a very easy to use network management capabilities by supporting both SNMP and HTTP protocols. The SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) will create a simple-to-access, but informative, website for your PV inverter with basic network controls; while the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) monitors your inverter and allows system to send updates on the status of the inverter to user through a web browser interface. Monitoring your MPI inverter will be as easy as surfing a website, from anywhere in the world. Users will be able to program the system to send out routine report or instruct system to send report deliberately at any time of the day, just one click away. EXECUTING COMMAND FILE Define your own actions for each inverter event. The SNMP card will perform actions according to your definitions, which may include saving files, broadcasting, etc. INVERTER INFORMATION The SNMP card allows you to view the information and status of your inverter locally or remotely. An event log file which contains all inverter-related events, such as power failures, shutdowns, power recovery, etc. A data log file is responsible for collecting electrical parameters, including input voltage, output voltage/frequency, temperature, and etc.

3 ONEVENT OnEvent is a new notification technology which exchanges multimedia message over LAN across all sorts of operating systems. When an event occurs, a computer installed with OnEvent software will receive message notification of the event. SCREENSHOTS Upon successful connection of SNMP card to your inverter and network setup to the router, the first screen user will see is the following, which is a general display of the most important information in your PV system, including voltage and current from PV, power output to grid, current grid voltage/frequency, inverter internal temperature, and etc. Any fault conditions will be marked and displayed on this screen. Table 1 - Home Screen At the HOME screen, user also has the option to select some control options (on the left of Table 1). The SNMP is mainly intended for users to review systems of PV information from remote locations, therefore control options here are limited to resetting E-total (total energy to grid) and H-total (total operation hours) records (see Table 2). 4 The second tab from the main menu is the CONFIGURATION screen. Here user has the option to adjust time interval for SNMP seconds, the time of the daily routine report, name of the OnEvent receiver, and also the default address to which the routine inverter report will be sent to. A sample inverter report will appear like the following: Table 3 - Configuration Screen The third tab from the main menu is the LOG screen (see Table 4). On this page user is able to view the EVENT log and the DATA log, as well as adjusting the settings of the log file, including file size and recording intervals. Table 4 - Log Screen The last tab on the main menu lists the SYSTEM screen (see Table 5), where user performs various administrative duties to the program. In addition to programming access usernames and passwords, user can also change/program time settings using SNTP servers, change network (DNS, TCP/IP, and SMTP server) settings (see Table 6), add/change user links, and execute firmware upgrades (when one is available).
