Non-V5-CAD geometries are converted into CGR Non-V5-CAD data are then locked in V5 (read-only mode) Parts and sub-assemblies structures are imported in V5 A link is kept with the original non-v5-cad data enabling quick update of the overall V5 product structure when original CAD design is modified The master non-v5-cad reference is kept in the original CAD system for modifications Folie 5

16 IGES & STEP : MultiCAx IGES and MultiCAx STEP Plug-ins Iges and Step files can be imported in MultiCAD mode as facetted and/or Exact representation with link to original Iges or Step file (like any other MultiCAD data): Data are not modifiable in V5 (locked). Ability to update V5 generated data according to changes made in Iges or Step file If Iges (IG1) or Step (ST1) license is available on seat, the user has the capability to unlock the imported data: Provide ability to modify data in V5 Remove the link to original Iges or Step file and therefore the capability to update V5 generated data according to changes in original files Enables customer using both products to switch from MultiCAD mode to Translator mode at no conversion cost (not reversible).
