2 Page 2 of 6 Direct Deposit of Pay is Required Tour of Duty: Full Time FLSA: Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit: Yes DUTIES: Performs various contract administration functions, including monitoring canceled funds, performing reconciliation, conducting contract closeouts, maintaining database integrity, determining eligibility, and verifying evidence of contractor progress. Monitors contractor performance for compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual requirements. Evaluates contractor compliance with applicable contract clauses, e.g., small business, patent rights, labor laws, and progress reports. Performs final closeout of assigned contracts; e.g., assures delivery, inspection and acceptance of contractual end items and that all administrative and reporting actions have been resolved before recommending final closeout of the contract. Assures deobligation of excess funds, and that special test equipment, tooling, and government-furnished property are accounted for. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify at the GS-09 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-07. Specialized experience is defined as: experience in contract negotiation and using cost and price analysis techniques. To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-09. Specialized experience is defined as: experience in contract negotiation and using cost and price analysis techniques. Experience using business and industry practices to assess contractor s ability to perform and experience using cost accounting standards to draw conclusions on contract provisions. Education can be substituted for experience. Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements by the DATE THE REFERRAL IS ISSUED. Basic Requirement: A bachelor s degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees AND at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. (This requirement can be obtained within the degree or in addition to the degree). NOTE: Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
3 Page 3 of 6 Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
