2 History & WelcomE Oklahoma Based & Family Owned Since 1941 Medley had humble beginnings in 1941, founded by Joe Medley & his wife Francis as the Joe Medley Scale Co. The original location was 609 N Hudson, Oklahoma City. The company soon expanded to servicing the scales and offering material handling equipment such as hand trucks and conveyors. In 1956, the company began its longlasting relationship with Yale, representing the Automatic Lift Truck division which subsequently was merged into the Yale Lift Truck of today. In 1980, four generations of Medleys, Joe, Bill, Mark and Ryan, break ground at the new site of Medley Equipment Co. at 4201 Will Rogers Parkway in Oklahoma City.
