5 1 C H A P T E R 1 Software 602 to IceWarp Server Migration Partner Guidelines This document is intended for IceWarp partners and resellers and describes the licensing and purchase methodology and other information useful for the migration, registration and upgrade of Software 602 products, following the strategic partnership of IceWarp and Software 602. You should also make yourself familiar with the Software 602 to IceWarp Server Migration guide for end-users. 6 2 Software 602 to IceWarp Server Migration Partner Guidelines About Software 602 Licensing There are two Software 602 products that can be migrated: Software 602 LanSuite (a basic company mail server) Software 602 Groupware (superior mail server with collaboration features) The licensing used in Software 602 products is different from the IceWarp licensing: the product came as a one-time purchase with 365 days of technical support included based on customer registration upgrades to newer versions were guaranteed within the same generation of the product for lifetime license renewals (in fact SLAs or tech support plans) could be obtained for the product to guarantee response to technical issues of the current product generation support plans were offered for 365 days (called license renewal) IceWarp Migration Utility IceWarp one-purpose Migration Utility was developed for these migrations. Pricing End Customer Prices The price of the first upgrade from the temporary license will be calculated the same way as for existing IceWarp customers, i.e. for license update prices only based on new purchase price for version 10: 50% for Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus 60% for Anti-Spam LIVE 20% for other modules presented in the original Software 602 license

7 About 3 prices of all additional modules (which were not presented in the original Software 602 license) are in accordance with the standard IceWarp price policy as if for a new purchase. Royalty Fees and Partner Margins Partner's or reseller's margin will be following: fixed to 25% on each purchase of the first update from the temporary license to a full one for modules presented in the original Software 602 license standard conditions for all additional modules.

8 4 Software 602 to IceWarp Server Migration Partner Guidelines Software 602 will collect one-time royalty fees for each of their customer purchasing the upgrade to IceWarp, only for the first license purchase. All subsequent purchases (renewals, modifications, add-ons) are no longer subject to any royalty fees to Software 602, the customer is considered an IceWarp customer and the partner's margin (reseller's purchase price) is calculated as usual. License Transformations All migrating Software 602 customers will receive a temporary (30-day) trial license allowing them to evaluate IceWarp Server. All Software 602 customers, independent on their support plan expiration, will receive full 365 days of upgrades with the license upgrade, for the components listed on their temporary licenses (which in turn matches the original Software 602 license). For more details, refer to Appendix 2 License Transformations (on page 8). Product EOL Terms Software 602 has discontinued its mail server and groupware product line in December 2009, no new licenses were offered from this date. Existing customers with a valid support plan are therefore supported by Software 602 up to December 31st, Until the end of December, it was possible to purchase "Internet Security Service" which guarantees updates of the built-in Antivirus and Antispam. At present, Software 602 customers should have installed the last official versions of the product, while SLA plans will be mostly expired, or ending in December 31st, 2010.

11 Appendix 1 Migration Utility 7 Appendix 1 Migration Utility The migration utility can be obtained from IceWarp website. The Migration Utility works as follows: 1. detects the current 602 installation including its existing 602 license 2. collects customer registration details which will be reflected in IceWarp license holder details 3. requests an IceWarp trial license matching the existing 602 license modules 4. downloads and installs the latest official version of IceWarp Server from 5. migrates and groupware data from the When the data migration is complete, the customer can evaluate IceWarp Server without any purchase obligation throughout the validity of the trial license (30 days since it was activated in IceWarp Server- not since it was obtained by the Migration Utility). NOTE that both products can coexist on the same server. The migration can take up to several days depending on the total size of data being migrated- 602 services should be stopped after the migration is complete and verified, then IceWarp Server should be assigned the standard service ports and server hostname. It is necessary to obtain a full license a few days in advance before the trial expires.

12 8 Software 602 to IceWarp Server Migration Partner Guidelines Appendix 2 License Transformations Temporary License Transformation All upgrading Software 602 customers will receive a temporary trial license allowing them to evaluate IceWarp Server which has some special attributes: expiring trial license limited to 30 days with I6W prefix listed as "Software 602 Conversion" in shop upgradable in Purchase v10 Upgrade Current License includes only modules listed on the customer's Software 602 license associated with a discount code in order to get a special upgrade price The temporary license obtained by the Migration Utility is necessary for: 1. installation of IceWarp Server 10.x 2. registering the Software 602 customer as an IceWarp customer 3. providing a special license update price by the means of a discount coupon associated with it 4. transformation of the Software 602 license to IceWarp license Since the temporary license is crucial for the special upgrade pricing, customers should not: use any other way of upgrading from Software 602 but the Migration Utility install IceWarp Server prior to running the Migration Utility request any other IceWarp trial license outside the Migration Utility (such as on the website, through partner channel, or using the IceWarp Server installer) If the customer no longer has Software 602 product installed, you should inquire about a proof of purchase, then send it to Sales and the temporary license will be processed manually. By no means should you quote Software 602 customers some competitive discounts and then expect us to adjust purchase prices of a new IceWarp license accordingly.

It's not possible to change number of users, add modules or modify the license in any other way when purchasing the license upgrade from 602 products.
