In American roulette, if a player on a single number, the probability is 1 in 38 of winning 35-times the bet, giving the player a chance of 37/38 to lose his wager. In such an instance, the house edge stands at 5.26%. 5 05 types of inside Roulette can be divided into two sections: inside and outside. Inside have differing payouts based on the combination of numbers the player has chosen to play with. The Corner Bet This type of bet involves four numbers at the same time. Essentially, your chip will be placed in the middle of four numbers where the horizontal and vertical lines meet. The corner bet wager pays 8:1 if successful. Double-zero Layout Basket Bet This is a bet on the double-zero layout that utilizes one of the following combinative : 0, 1 and 2 0, 00, and 2 outside Outside are all the bet outside of the number layout, except for French. Outside are the easiest to attain and pay 1 to 1 odds (meaning your bet will be matched by the house). The chance of hitting an even outside bet is under 50%. Even or Odd Bets The Double Street Bet 00, 2 and 3 Even or Odd pay 1:1 (even money) The Straight-Up Bet The straight-up bet is the simplest bet you can place at the Roulette table. It is an individualnumber bet. If successful, the straight-up bet will win at 35:1 odds this is the biggest possible payout in roulette. It is however also the most difficult to hit. The Split Bet The split bet is one made over two numbers on the Roulette layout. Your chip needs to be placed half on the number and half on the other neighboring number. You will place your chip on the line separating the inside from the outside layout your chip will straddle the line separating both streets. The Trio Bet Basket Bet This bet is possible in a single-zero layout only and always utilizes the zero. A wager is placed between the 0, 1 and 2, or 0, 2 and 3. Chips are placed at the intersection of the three numbers that you chose to play with. Top Line Bets This bet, again only possible on the double-zero layout, is a bet placed on 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3. Red or Black 1 Through 18; 19 Through 36 Bets This bet allows you to guess the color of the number the ball will land on. This bet pays even money when it wins. These also pay even money as they are made on half of the inside numbers at a time. Dozen Bets Dozen are made on a third of the inside number layout. These pay 2:1. The Street Bet The street bet wager is a three-number wager. It pays 11:1 and is placed on an entire horizontal line on the table s inside layout. Also known as the first four bet, the basket bet is made by placing chips on the single-zero layout only and utilizes the 0, 1, 2 and 3. This bet is fundamentally the same as a corner bet. Years ago, Call Bets were wagers made without the player placing money on the table, but since many jurisdictions and individual casinos have banned gambling on credit, these are rather referred to as Announced Bets. Announced Bets are wagers where players simply do not place chips on the table but rather announce their to the croupier. Players then show their money, usually cash, to the croupier. Two chips are placed on the 0, 2, 3 trio; one on the -7 split; one on the split; one on the split; one on the split; two on the corner; and one on the split. voisins du zero Orphelins Also known as the Orphans bet, the Orphelins French bet covers the numbers 17, 3, 6 and 1, 20, 1, 31, 9. Here five chips are wagered. One straight-up bet on 1 and one chip on the splits of 6-9, 1-17, and Le Tiers Du Cylinder Le Tiers Du Cylinder, translated as Thirds of the Wheel, included the numbers 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 2, 16 and 33. This bet covers 12 numbers of the wheel, or a third of the wheel. The betting arrangement is at six splits. One chip is placed on each of the splits of 5-8, 10-11, 13-16, 23-2, and Jeu Zéro The Jeu Zéro, or Zero Game, is a bet made on the numbers closest to the zero in a single-zero game. These numbers include 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32 and 15. This particular bet consists of four chips. One chip is placed on the 0-3 split, one on the 12-1 split, one on 26 straight-up and one on split. orphelins 7 8

7 FINAL Final are digit number. If you were to place a 5 final bet, this would mean that 1 chip will be placed on all numbers ending in 5: 5, 15, 25 and 35. Final from 0 to 6 will cost the player four chips, whilst final of 7, 8 and 9 will cost three chips. These are not strictly referred to as French Bets.
