3 ARRA Reporting Team Marianne Hassan, Michelle Merritt, Jason Remhoff 660-ARRA Coordinate communication for ARRA Triage help for department/school in areas of HR, processing, reporting Monitor ARRA revenues and expenses Monitor new jobs created and employees retained ARRA - Reporting FederalReporting.gov due the 10th day after each fiscal quarter: Oct 10; Jan 10, April 10, July 10 Duke will submit one report for all ARRA grants within the Duke enterprise Individuals do not need to register with FederalReporting.gov Duke ARRA Reporting tool is part of SAP and will automatically calculate jobs created/retained based on funding source info and position attributes 3

4 ARRA - Reporting Duke is NOT delegating reporting to subawardees. If your grant has internal subcodes, Duke will report on the grant as a whole (parent + subcodes rolled up) Grants managers will login through the Duke@Work.edu portal Grant Admin name in R3 drives the access to WBS elements. ARRA Reporting Elements Financial Data - reporting expenses through the calendar period (not the fiscal period) Revenue received Job creation data: new jobs and jobs retained Subcontractor data Single line item purchases >$25K Vendor data for large item purchases Standard data fields DUNS, award ID, Congressional district, etc. Reporting tool only shows a few of the data elements Duke is required to submit 4

ARRA Reporting Review Login to Duke ARRA reporting tool through Duke@Work portal starting ~ Sept 16. Load Project Progress designation in the tool. Review pre-calculated job creation data. 7 NIH Public Access Policy The NIH Public Access Policy requires scientists to submit final peer-reviewed manuscripts that result from direct costs funded by NIH, and that are accepted for publication on or after April 7, 2008, to PubMed Central. Compliance with the NIH Public Access Policy is a legal requirement (Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2008, Public Law , Division G, Title II, Section 218) and a term and condition of your award. If a grantee has failed to materially comply with the terms and conditions of award, NIH may suspend the grant, pending corrective action, or may terminate the grant for cause (per 45 CFR 74.61, 74.62, and 92.43).
