1 In addition to any applicable Rates, Sprint will invoice you for taxes, fees and other charges as may be required by any federal, state, local or foreign government. Some or all of the following charges may apply on a customer s invoices. Carrier Property Tax Surcharge Effective April 1, 2011, a Carrier Property Tax Surcharge of 3.01% will be applied to all interstate and international charges, subject to billing capability. This surcharge will not be applied to any subscriber that is a duly licensed and authorized communications company with non-associated locations. Carrier Universal Service Charge (CUSC) Sprint will assess a monthly Carrier Universal Service Charge (CUSC) equal to the Universal Service Fund Contribution Factor prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission and posted on its website at The CUSC is assessed on all interstate and international charges (including usage and non-usage) each month, excluding charges for calls that both originate and terminate outside the U.S. and is subject to change on a quarterly basis. Regulatory Recovery Fee Effective November 1, 2013, a Regulatory Recovery Fee of 3.47% will be applied to all interstate and international charges, subject to billing capability, to recover amounts paid by Sprint to the federal government and state commissions for regulatory costs and for telecommunications services for the hearing-impaired. It will also recover amounts paid for number portability and costs associated with environmental health services, network outage reporting, and emergency generator operations. Gross Receipts Tax Surcharge A customer residing in a jurisdictions listed below will be assessed a Gross Receipts Tax Surcharge (GRTS). The GRTS will be assessed as a percentage of the customer's monthly interstate and international charges. The Gross Receipts Tax Surcharge will not be applied to any subscriber that is a duly licensed and authorized communications company with non-associated locations. This surcharge is applied by taxing jurisdiction. The surcharge will apply to calls terminating to a foreign mobile, to a like service or to a routing code established for mobile or like services. The charge is a flat, non-distance, non-time-of-day sensitive rate which varies by country. This surcharge will be applied in addition to a customer s international plan or international promotional rate, in the same increment as the customer s plan or promotional rate. No international plan or international promotional discounts will apply to this surcharge. For the country codes and applicable Mobile Dialing Codes that define mobile termination see the International Mobile Dialing Codes matrix. Foreign Carriers frequently change their Mobile Dialing Codes that define mobile termination. There may be a lag between when new Mobile Dialing Codes are assigned and updates to the matrix. All terms and conditions of the customer s underlying international plan or international promotion will apply. 7 Payphone Surcharge SPRINT WIRELINE ADDITIONAL BUSINESS CHARGES, FEES, SURCHARGES, AND TAXES As of November 11, 2004, all Sprint customers will incur a per call surcharge of $0.55 for all calls that Sprint identifies as originating from a Public or Semi-Public Payphone and for which customers are billed by Sprint. Personal Numbering Service (PNS) Termination Surcharge The PNS surcharge applies to certain international Dial-1 calls routed to a PNS subscriber. PNS allows a subscriber to use one number for all incoming calls. The PNS subscriber identifies the various phone numbers (e.g., office, cell, pager, fax and home) and provides instructions on where and when the calls should be routed. The surcharge will apply to calls terminating in the non-u.s. countries or areas listed below to a PNS or like service or to a routing code established for PNS or like services. This surcharge: 1) applies in addition to all other per minute rates and per call surcharges associated with the customer's underlying service and 2) applies for each minute of usage. Per Minute Surcharges Portugal $ Taiwan United Kingdom Presubscribed Line Charge In addition to all other rates in this schedule, business Customers who are presubscribed to Sprint for their wireline interlata switched service, will be assessed an undiscounted per line or per derived channel Presubscribed Line Charge from the schedule below for each such line or channel, subject to billing availability. A portion of the Presubscribed Line Charge is intended to recover the Primary Interexchange Carrier Charges that Sprint pays to local exchange carriers. The Customer will be assessed the Multi-Line Business charge for each line or derived channel, except in cases where Sprint can determine that the Customer has only one line. For customers subscribing to a Centrex service provided by the local exchange carrier (LEC), Sprint will rely on the line type information received from the LEC for determining the appropriate charge. Finally, Presubscribed Line Charges are neither contributory to or eligible to receive discounts or are eligible to contribute to meeting minimum monthly usage requirements. Line Type Rate Per Month Multi-Line Business $2.05 per line Centrex Line $0.17 per line ISDN - BRI $0.00 per derived channel (up to 2) ISDN - PRI $0.42 per derived channel (up to 23) Single Bill Fee A company who chooses to receive Sprint long distance charges on a bill received from the company's Local Exchange Carrier, instead of receiving a bill for the company's long distance charges directly from Sprint, may be assessed a monthly fee of $1.50. This fee is not assessed if the company's Local Exchange Carrier is Sprint. 8 South Carolina Universal Service Charge Sprint will assess a charge to support universal service in South Carolina. The charge, which is prescribed by the Public Service Commission of South Carolina, is a percentage of the intrastate and interstate charges within the state of South Carolina of customers whose service address is in South Carolina. The charge is also applied to all intrastate South Carolina FONCARD charges. Vermont Universal Service Charge Sprint will assess a charge to support universal service in Vermont. The charge, which is prescribed by the Vermont Public Service Board, is a percentage of the intrastate and interstate charges within the state of Vermont of customers whose service address is in Vermont.
