7 PROBE-IT IoT Workshop Tunisia, Sep ITU and EU FP7 Probe-IT Workshop on Internet of Things for Africa Hammamet, Tunisia, 18 September 2012 Internet of Things is seen as one of the most promising area for Africa as it involves many easy to deploy and affordable technologies which can address important technological and societal challenges in various sectors, including e-health, water management, energy, transport, etc. The workshop will give the status of IoT studies and deployment worldwide, will present some real use cases and the international standardization efforts. In addition it will explore how Africa can take full benefit of this major trend for addressing some of its important challenges.
