1 INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE ARTICULATION AND TRANSFER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE NEBRASKA STATE COLLEGES D.B.A. CHADRON STATE COLLEGE AND WUHAN YANTZE BUSINESS UNIVERSITY This Undergraduate Articulation and Transfer Agreement ( Articulation ) is entered into between the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State Colleges, doing business as Chadron State College (CSC) and Wuhan Yangtze Business University (WYBU), located in the People s Republic of China. CSC and WYBU are referred to collectively as the Parties. SECTION I: INTRODUCTION 1.1. The purpose of this Articulation is to set forth the terms, conditions, and policies under which credits earned by students enrolled at WYBU will be accepted for transfer toward a CSC bachelor s and/or master s degree completion program WYBU students admitted under this program must meet all CSC international student admission requirements applicable at the time of students application. Students who are otherwise qualified, but who do not meet CSC established minimum English language proficiency requirements, may be considered for conditional admission upon enrollment in a CSC-approved English language training program. Full admission will be granted upon successful completion of the English language program at a level comparable to CSC s minimum language proficiency requirements. SECTION II: REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES 2.1 As a condition of this Articulation, the Parties represent and warrant that they: (1) are higher education entities in good standing with national government-recognized accrediting agencies and/or the national ministry or department of education in their respective countries; (2) have legal authority to enter into this Articulation; (3) have obtained all necessary approvals and rights required by applicable laws, rules, and regulations of their respective countries necessary to enter into, and perform under this Articulation. 2.2 Loss or revocation of any of these conditions will render this Articulation null and void. SECTION III: CREDIT TRANSFER 3.1 Subject to all CSC policies and the curriculum requirements and course equivalencies described in both this agreement and in ATTACHMENT A for a CSC 2+2 Dual Bachelor s Degree Completion Program, CSC agrees to accept up to 54 course transfer credits from

2 qualified students who have successfully completed the first two (2) years of study in the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance Students who successfully complete the first two years of the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance will be eligible academically to transfer to CSC to complete a CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Business Administration: Finance Option with a minimum of 66 semester credits in a minimum of two (2) additional calendar years of study at CSC Students who successfully complete the requirements of the CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major Business Administration: Finance Option will be eligible to apply credits earned at CSC toward fulfillment of the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance Students who successfully complete the requirements of the CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Business Administration: Finance Option will be eligible academically to enroll in the CSC Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree program which may be completed in a minimum of one and one-half (1.5) additional years of study at CSC. 3.2 Subject to all CSC policies and the curriculum requirements and course equivalencies described in both this agreement and in ATTACHMENT B for a CSC 2+2 Dual Bachelor s Degree Completion Program, CSC agrees to accept up to 80 course transfer credits from qualified students who have successfully completed the first two (2) years of study in the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance Students who successfully complete the first two years of the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance will be eligible academically to transfer to CSC to complete a CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Finance Focus with a minimum of 40 semester credits in a minimum of two (2) additional calendar years of study at CSC Students who successfully complete the requirements of CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Finance Focus will be eligible to apply credits earned at CSC toward fulfillment of the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance Students who successfully complete the requirements of the CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Finance Focus will be eligible academically to enroll in the CSC Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree program which may be completed in a minimum of one and one-half (1.5) additional years of study at CSC. 3.3 Subject to all CSC policies and the curriculum requirements and course equivalencies described in both this agreement and in ATTACHMENT C for a CSC 3+1 Dual Bachelor s Degree Completion Program, CSC agrees to accept up to 90 course transfer credits from qualified students who have successfully completed the first three (3) years of study in the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance. 3 3.3.1 Students who successfully complete the first three years of the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance will be eligible academically to transfer to CSC to complete a CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Finance Focus with a minimum of 30 semester credits in a minimum of one (1) additional calendar year of study at CSC Students who successfully complete the requirements of CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Finance Focus will be eligible to apply credits earned at CSC toward fulfillment of the WYBU Bachelor of Economics Degree: Finance Students who successfully complete the requirements of the CSC Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Comprehensive Major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Finance Focus will be eligible academically to enroll in the CSC Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree program which may be completed in a minimum of one and one-half (1.5) additional years of study at CSC. 3.4 WYBU students who successfully complete any of the same WYBU courses identified and specified in ATTACHMENTS A, B, or C as part of other WYBU degree programs are eligible to transfer those course credits to CSC as specified in ATTACHMENTS A, B, or C 3.5 Given normal changes in curriculum structure and individual course development over time, course equivalencies in ATTACHMENTS A, B, or C, or other subsequent attachments, may be revised, updated, or expanded at the discretion of CSC. CSC shall notify WYBU in advance of making any modifications to ATTACHMENTS A, B, or C, or subsequent versions. Any changes in course equivalency or credit transferability will not adversely affect students who have been admitted or conditionally admitted to CSC prior to related changes in course equivalency. 3.6 All course transfer credits accepted from WYBU are subject to the following CSC institutional policies and any applicable CSC program-specific policies Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) from WYBU and all other previous higher education institutions to be eligible for admission to CSC Only academic courses with a letter grade of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better will be accepted for credit transfer CSC is the final authority for determining grade and transfer course equivalency, including course level, course content, and transfer credit equivalency All WYBU courses and transfer credits accepted by CSC under this Articulation will be applied under the policies, and at the discretion, of CSC. 3.7 To earn a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from CSC, students must successfully complete a minimum of 120 credits including, a minimum of 40 upper division and 42 International Undergraduate Articulation and Transfer Agreement (Approved Template 06/2014) 3

4 Essential Studies credits. Students completing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from CSC must successfully complete a minimum of 120 credits, including a minimum of 40 upper division and 30 Essential Studies credits (as defined in the CSC catalog.) In all cases, a student must complete a minimum of 30 credits from CSC. 3.8 Students admitted to CSC under terms of this agreement are subject to CSC curriculum and degree completion polices and requirements in effect at the time of their admission and shall be permitted to retain those policies and requirements as long as they maintain continuous enrollment. SECTION IV: RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES 4.1 WYBU 4.2 CSC WYBU shall provide CSC staff with English translations of official student transcripts, current course descriptions and course syllabi, as well as other information CSC may request to determine the eligibility of WYBU courses transfer credits to be applied toward CSC degree completion programs subject to this Articulation WYBU shall not facilitate applications for prospective students who do not meet CSC admissions requirements and shall not commit CSC to accept or admit any prospective student to CSC CSC shall act on all applications for admission under this agreement in a timely manner CSC shall award WYBU students the appropriate CSC degree upon successful completion of coursework and satisfaction of all other graduation requirements for their respective degree. SECTION V: GENERAL TERMS 5.1 Financial Responsibilities. No monetary or other consideration will be exchanged between the Parties under this Articulation. 5.2 Non-Exclusive. This is a non-exclusive agreement, and either Party may develop articulation agreements with other institutions to provide similar programs. 5.3 Authoritative Version. This Articulation may be translated to non-english languages. In the event of a conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail. 5 SECTION VI: DURATION 6.1 Term. The initial term of this Articulation shall be for a period of five (5) years from the last date signed by authorized officials of both Parties. Upon maturity of the initial term, this Articulation shall renew annually for additional one (1) year terms unless terminated in writing by either party. 6.2 Modification. This Articulation may be modified by mutual agreement in writing. 6.3 Termination. Either party may terminate this Articulation for any reason with 30 days advance written notice. In the event of termination, WYBU students who have been issued conditional letters of acceptance or are admitted and actively enrolled at CSC shall be allowed to complete their education under the terms and conditions of this Articulation, unless prohibited by law or accreditation regulations. For transfer purposes, all 1 st and 2 nd year courses from WYBU are considered lower division. Upper division Essential Studies course credits will count toward the 40 upper division credit total. 2. A minimum of 50% of the 57-credit CSC Business Administration program must be completed from CSC. 3. At CSC, lower division courses are numbered 100 thru 299; upper division courses are numbered 300 thru 499; and graduate courses are numbered 500 thru 799 and above. Courses listed below 100 are considered remedial, and do not transfer or count toward graduation requirements. At the undergraduate level, lower division hours are transferred in as lower division hours. 4. Only courses with a letter grade of C (i.e. 2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better will be accepted for transfer. CSC is the final authority for determining grade equivalency. 5. Actual credit transfer and credits required for degree completion may vary depending upon interpretation of official transcripts, course prerequisite requirements, selection of Essential Studies and elective courses, changes in degree requirements, etc. An official plan of study will be developed for student after campus arrival. 6.
