2 Admissions Guidelines: St. Thomas admits students on a first come, first served basis. Applications are reviewed as they arrive, as soon as they are determined to be complete. The sooner you apply the better. An early application can facilitate an earlier registration time for classes. St. Thomas will consider applications from students who have attained a grade-point average of at least 2.3 in transferable baccalaureate-level courses. Although we do not have an application deadline, we do encourage students to apply by August 1 for fall semester and January 1 for spring semester. Generally, students are notified of acceptance within three weeks of completing their application. Notes: Students will be required to fulfill general education requirements as published in the catalog of the year they enroll at the University of St. Thomas. Only coursework in which the student earned a grade of C- or higher from a regionally accredited college/university will be recognized for credit at St. Thomas. St. Thomas requires 84 credits outside the major department (76 credits for business majors), and a total of 132 credits for graduation. Students must complete 32 of their last 36 credits at St. Thomas, as stated in the Senior Residency Requirement. UST Transfer Award: Merit-based financial aid is offered to new transfer students who have demonstrated academic success at the postsecondary level and positively contributed to their community. Awards will vary based on the applicant s academic credentials and other achievements. Transfer students accepted for admission to the University of St. Thomas may receive $2,000-$15,000 per year. There is no separate application required. All students accepted for regular admission as new transfers to St. Thomas will be automatically considered for any available funds. Accepted students will receive confirmation of their institutional commitment along with their offer of admission. Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis and recipients will be selected until UST Transfer Award funds are exhausted. Students admitted to St. Thomas under the condition of accept with concern conduct probation or provisional are not eligible to receive a UST Transfer Award, but may qualify for other need-based sources of financial aid. For more information about transferring to St. Thomas please call: Kyle Murphy, Transfer Counselor, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, (651) To Schedule a Visit, (651) University of St. Thomas Office of Admissions, Mail Summit Avenue St Paul, MN
