2 Interested in Transferring to? To transfer to The University of New Orleans, you should apply for admission at least one semester before you wish to enroll. Request official transcripts from each college or university you attended, whether Credit has been earned or is desired. If you are enrolled at another college when you apply, have a complete final office transcript from this institution sent to the University of New Orleans, Office of Admissions, at the end of the semester. The Office of Admissions will evaluate your academic course work for general university purposes. A complete transfer credit evaluation will be available to you online, on our Student Information System - WEBSTAR, once you are admitted and all official transcripts are received. If you receive transfer credit for English 1158, you will need to pass the English Proficiency Examination for transfer students. You must take the exam during your first two regular semesters of enrollment at. Other Requirements for Transfer Admission Effective Fall 2005, the minimum cumulative GPA required for transfer applicants is Not more than one-half of the credit required for your degree may be accepted from community or junior colleges. You may earn a maximum of one-fourth of your degree credit through a combination of CLEP, Advanced Placement Tests, and Advanced Standing Exams, bypass credit, nontraditional credit or correspondence study. If you have less than 18 hours of non-remedial transfer credit, your high school transcript and ACT or SAT with acceptable scores are required. Effective Fall 2012: Effective Fall 2012, all students transferring to must have at least 24 semester hours or more of college level/non-remedial coursework (including completed courses in English and Math) and a 2.25 or higher cumulative GPA as calculated by our Admissions Office. You will have the choice to pay online or you can submit your payment to the Office of Admissions. How to Read and Use the Transfer Guide All courses appearing on this list transfer to the University of New Orleans. Some have exact equivalents to courses. Where that is the case, the corresponding department and course number appear under the heading DEPT/COURSE #. In the instances where the transfer course does not have an exact equivalent at, the transfer course title is printed under the heading COURSE and the department accepting the course can be found under the DEPT/COURSE # column. Listed with the department will be the academic level of the course followed by NE (no equivalent). For example, MATH 1000NE indicates that the course is freshman level and there is no equivalent to a course. Sophomore, junior and senior levels are indicated with 2000NE, 3000NE and 4000NE. There are other course codes that appear in this list. The NR code used with 1000NR means that the course is remedial and cannot be used to satisfy degree credit at. PFE means the department

3 accepting the course requires that the credit for that course be validated by a proficiency exam prepared and administered by the department. NMC means that the course is a non-majors course. 1/2, 2/2, etc. means that more than one transfer course must be taken and passed in order to receive credit for the course indicated. For example, if the transfer school offers a two semester Principles of Accounting course, both courses must be taken in order to receive credit for Accounting 2100 at. Please note: the academic dean of your major department at will determine the extent to which transfer credits, even if they have an exact equivalent, will be applied toward your degree at.
