N3 HOSTING Redcentric offers secure hosting within N3 accredited UK data centres. 6 N3 AGGREGATOR SERVICES Redcentric was granted aggregator status for the N3 network by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC). This means Redcentric is responsible for assessing and approving applications from third party organisations wanting or needing to connect to N3. Redcentric can aggregate the connections to the N3 network on behalf of approved software providers, commercial and third sector providers of health and social care services. Obtaining access to N3 requires detailed and extensive due diligence on the part of the supplier to ensure that is it able to match or exceed specific security and information governance standards required by the Department of Health and managed by HSCIC. Redcentric has a dedicated N3 information governance team that will advise, help and support companies through the strict process of application and connection. Onboarding on to the N3 network with Redcentric can dramatically reduce the cost, time and complexities it takes to connect. Our team will manage and take end-to-end ownership of the entire process, provide expert support and guidance throughout, along with solution design work and assist in mitigating business gaps and shortfalls. THE STEPS TO CONNECTING TO THE N3 NETWORK Prerequisites of connecting: 1. You must obtain a valid NHS sponsor for access in to N3; this can be any of the following: NHS Organisation NHS National Body Department of Health Redcentric cannot sponsor a connection. 2. You must have appropriate business justification as to why you require to connect into the N3 network. Redcentric gained approval for our N3 access application within a week and simplified how we connect to the N3 network. System C Connected Care

7 Documentation 3. First part of the application process to be completed Healthcare Information Governance Connectivity Assurance Process (HIGCAP) this will contain your business details, sponsor details, contact and contract information, and documented business justification. 4. Healthcare Logical Connection Architecture (HLCA) document to support the HIGCAP detailing your solution design for connecting in to N3. 5. A signed copy of Redcentric s N3 Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is also required to be returned prior to access to N3 being authorised. Post Approval 6. Once Redcentric has approved your request to connect into N3, Redcentric will add you to the NHS register and provide you with organisation ODS codes. 7. Shortly after you will receive your user credentials to the Information Governance Toolkit (IGT) portal. Post Requirements Annual completion of the IGT is required. Annual renewing of your declaration of acceptance of use. Notification of change of circumstances (i.e. change of sponsor).
