6 Industry Standard ASTM International F Originally approved in 2006, ASTM F2550 was recently modified to expand its use to include testing and certification of pipe repairs, renewal, and new construction. The revised standard was approved October 1, , by unanimous vote of Committee F36, for renewal for a five-year extension.

35 Most Frequent Questions Doesn t the conductivity of the soil have a major effect on the signal? Does the soil structure affect the electric circuit? Ie. High plastic clay vs. river gravel? Does Electro Scan work with high ground water? What happens if sewer lines have segments of ductile iron? Would tracer wire installed above sewer line, or around surrounding utilities, interfere by skewing test results? How does varying total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water within the pipe affect results? 35
